I'm on track to do 3 million in my first year in sales. I'm around 2 million now and it's been 7 1/2 months. These videos made me want to switch over from tech to sales.

Awesome work, Robert! Nothing wrong with being a selling tech.

A year ago I watched some of these videos seeing guys sell 2 and 3 million. And never of imagined I’d sell 4.3 million in residential HVAC in my first year

Best episode I've listened to yet 👍. Just started a CA position after 5+ years of in home window/door sales... December and January have been ROUGH with appointments unfortunately, but doing my own self studying with podcasts in the car. Did well with windows but HVAC is a "need" over windows being a "want" and truly believe that the opportunity is here for sales. Hope it turns around soon here in southeast PA. Inspiring story!

There is tremendous opportunity in HVAC. I've been with CertainPath for nearly 20 years, and I've seen salespeople thrive in the booms and the busts of the economy, including '09. Keep hustling, and you'll do well. If you don't feel like you're receiving the support you should be at your company, we likely have a member company in or near your area who'd value your hustle and pour resources into you.

Just thought of you: Michael is now a sales manager at CM Heating. We just interviewed his #1 salesperson who sold -- by himself -- over $8.6MM last year! The highest total we'd ever known of previously was $7MM. So, stay tuned for that episode! It's over an hour! And It is power packed! Should drop in a couple of weeks.

How did you end up doing after a year?

"The project manager is going to come by about a week before the install"? not sure I understand because if I sell a system today it's getting installed tomorrow CM sounds like a fine place but in fact we just lost a salesman to CM but a week before a project manager visits the house I've got eight systems installed in that week

Remember how long this interview was recorded. There were shortages in equipment due to the pandemic, if I'm not mistaken. Same day install is always preferred.

In his closing statement, “zombie going through life,” resonates strongly. I installed for a company in a different market down in Tacoma, for about 4 years and worked my way up to a lead installer. We only installed American Standard too. They were great, and did everything by the book. I learned a great deal. I moved states, and am now with a much smaller company, where certain corners are cut, and it can be kind of tiresome being an installer/service tech/comfort advisor/project manager/firefighter all in one day. Looking forward to go back into battle with some of these approaches. Cheers

Where do you buy the products to sell?
@TheSuccessfulContractor Жыл бұрын
Our member contractors typically buy product through distributors. Sales professionals in strong companies typically only have to worry about selling product and then moving to the next appointment.
