What are your thoughts on this presentation? The only issue I had with it is the mic rubbing, haha! Sorry everyone!

The audio was a bit off putting but I have watched tons of worse stuff, it is always good when I find lectures of the more nitty gritty of history so thanks!

Thank you for presenting this lecture. I thoroughly enjoyed it, not distracted by the limitations of the audio and visual technology since I know that this is not a professional studio recording. I am ready to hear more of this professor's lectures.

I ended up turning off the sound as using the captions, but they aren’t much good, either.

I've enjoyed these talks for which I'm grateful, but the sound=quality of this one is very distracting, alas!

I really wanted to watch this, but I can’t stand all that noise. Who’s stupid idea was it to put the microphone where the students are rustling through backpacks and papers?

@@studyofantiquityandthemidd4449 I have a copy of that map on my wall, it's an old-style illuminated map with gold-leaf paint. My grandfather left it to me. One of my most prized possessions :)

I saw your topic about the race of the ancient Egyptians. I just wanted to add that they weren't white or Arab according to all the evidence. They were black up until the Assyrian invasion and then their race began to change to what it is today. There are plenty of proofs for this so as a historian you should no better.

Various mummies found that date to before the Bronze age collapse appeared to have so called "Caucasoid" features (Ramses the second for example appeared to have had red hair)

@@MrGuyJacks Appearing to have red hair doesn't mean he actually had red hair. His hair was dyed with henna according to all historians. Also, all anthropological, linguistical and genetic evidence places the origin of ancient Egyptians in Africa. You should study more before making statements that can easily be refuted.

@@rhapta650 and yet the statues and paintings of ancient Egypt don't have typical African features. None of them have the typical thick lips, flat wide noses or the same hair. I wonder why that might be?
