Do leave a like and a comment (or sub if you haven’t) because I’d like to start getting my stuff out there a bit more. And thanks to everyone who has already committed to getting more stuff from me ❤

I'm always happy to see more love for the Suffering and I absolutely agree with the title, however a statement such as "the writing is super lite and often shallow" makes me think that you could've used more time exploring and reading journal, and monster entries. The game has tons going on with its layered themes, social commentary and symbolism-heavy ideas, so hearing all of that hard work go underappreciated simply doesn't do the title justice. I hope you go back to revisit the game some day and rediscover those, I think they are worth it.

You’re right. Honestly I was having too much fun with the core gameplay. Idk about the second, but I WILL be replaying the first. That aside, I hope you still enjoyed the video. I enjoyed making this one and all eyes on it are appreciated.

@@UngliYT I absolutely enjoyed the vid and you got yourself a new sub. I can also relate to not wanting to replay Ties that Bind. That game is notably nastier and more grimy than the first one, I tried to replay it last year, but I just couldn't force myself to do it. I hate that one antagonist that is especially disgusting to a particular gender. Brilliant design and dialogue, but it just works too well for me, subjectively. Cheers!

Any day someone talks about the Suffering is a good day. I personally don't think we will ever see a remake unfortunately. However even a remaster, or port to modern consoles would be fine with me. Some of the best gaming memories I have is me and a friend renting out both games and playing them side by side.

They were a product of their time. But so was Destroy All Humans and we got a remake of 1 and 2. Never say never

Ive been waiting on a remake/remaster or even a spiritual successor to The Suffering.. love both games and hope it gets a revival soon enough 👀

To me, a remaster with some quality-of-life improvements (for example, the second game would be a lot better if it kept the multiple weapons system intact from the first) and, obviously, better optimization would be for the best for these kinds of games. Heck, even a sequel. I'm personally getting tired of remakes even tho I do admit I love the Resident Evil 4 one. Also, if someone does decide to remaster this or make a sequel to it... keeping the edge would be for the best. I wouldn't want to see folks censor this game for the sake of the "modern audience".

100%. I love the mid 2000s edge. It’s why I really liked the Destroy All Humans Remake. I hope you liked the video! I really liked making it. And you know weirdly enough the ones I really like do the worst.

Woow this a great video to watch reviews of both games at the time & a review in 2024 with some commentary in it with delist in the digital stores. I hope we see it soon the 20th anniversary for first game & next year will be the second game 20th anniversary. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Glad you liked it! This is one of my personal favorites that I’ve done. It’s an enormous bummer the games were delisted, but Nightdive Studios could take on a Remaster

Ties that bind was really great too. This game is backwards compatible on the 360…so I always play it when my kids steal my ps5 and ps4 from me. It’s a lot of fun

I didn’t hate Ties That Bind but I definitely liked the first a lot more
