This booked changed my life when I first read it! I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature & Humanities and was thinking about pursuing an advanced degree to boot. But I was always bothered by the art of literary criticism which was so prevalent in academia. My college professors always talked about how the original Greek, Latin, German, French, Italian etc., of a particular story we were analyzing took on an entirely different meaning in the original language other than in English! They forgot to mention Arabic and how a large percentage of great European literature had been lifted in part or even lock stock and barrel from great Persian and Arabic authors. See Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales", Dante's "Divine Comedy", the works of William Shakespeare, etc. Irides Shah corrected that serious omission left out of my college text books in his book the "Sufis"! For that I am eternally grateful! Decided to become a business man instead and not enter an environment (academia!), where it would be much easier to be rewarded (as Shah once alluded to) for having unverified opinions under a professional guise!

If you want guidance follow ali the sufi master its free of charge and obligatory he is the qutb if there is any the accolades of faith were achieved by him and those who followed him because he was the first to follow and never disobey the prophet if any principle of truth doesnt measure to ali it is false he and his progeny inherited from the prophet and were appointed by god to lead following other than them leads to hell
