They should have put a small handle on it to really make it look like a small suitcase player.

My favorite place to be, in the entire world, is at Thunderbird on St Petersburg Beach, in a 3rd floor room with balcony ocean view. The music shopping in St Pete is incredible, it's my paradise. The gulf coast is really my idea of heaven. You could spread out a blanket and do all your equipment reviews right there...but your records might be ashtrays after five minutes. Thanks for showing the ocean. I live in Ohio, so...imagine.

I can very well imagine! Lived my entire life in Colorado up until moving to Florida a year ago! Best decision I ever made

I am surprised this wasn't a Crosley product. It looks like something right up their alley. Sidenote: I found out Crosley also makes deep freezers...yes...freezers...

Maybe the reason the first speaker didn't work with it is because the CD player says it uses Bluetooth v5.0 and the speaker cannot work with this version? Just a thought.

Very possible!

They SHOULD be backwards compatible, but perhaps the implementation of the Bluetooth stack is flaky in either the CD player or that Boombox speaker, and for some reason, they just can't or don't want to "talk" to each other.

I bought one that has a different brand...probably the came from the same factory/oem. I hooked it up on my vintage Sansui receiver and I get a loud pop in between tracks when the player restarts the disc motor to buffer the track. They sounds pretty nice and you know its processed... but that loud pop each track is a deal breaker and returned it. Bought another one that dont have a built in battery and plays the CD the old fashion way and no pops. Something to consider if your buying one of these to hookup on a Hi-Fi system.

Wonder if frequency sweep CDs are available. I bet that CD players frequency response through the line out goes above 15khz.

I think it is not likely to go over 15K or they would not put 15K on the spec sheet. Normally spec sheets are over not under.

Whats the difference between this cd player and the Yintini vintage cd player? Yintini doesn't have this color (it looks elegant to me) but everything else looks the same
@Recordology6 күн бұрын
Possibly from the same manufacturer.

I haven't been to the ocean in a long time. I used to go to the Maryland/Delaware resorts. It's the time for soft shelled crabs. Fried soft shelled crabs are delicious. 🦀 Anyways, have a good rest of the week, my friend.

would you still recommend the Fluance RT80 for a beginner turntable? I've been looking to start collecting vinyl and am looking for a good beginner turntable that is still in my budget. I've also been watching a bunch of your old videos on it and just wondering your current thoughts. does it still hold up?

This past weekend, I listened to a CD from the 90's called Heigh Ho Mozart. It's renditions of Disney songs done in the style of different classical composers. It would be right up your alley, knowing you're a huge Disney fan.

Thanks Great Video Love these Novelty units , I would still consider for my office just on the Wonderful form factor shame the sound is pretty average. Have to check out the price and availability from New Zealand.

CD in the open without a cover is asking for trouble, specially when you have small children in the house. This is a huge safety issue that needs to be investigated and be very cautious with.

Interesting. I will admit it does look nice, especially with the copper accents. As for the CD itself, it does what it is supposed to do. For what it does, it does at least sounds half-way decent. I could see the appeal of this if somebody wanted a compact little CD player to play a handful of CDs on. I will stick with my full-sized audiophile rig to play CDs on. As for classical music, I do listen to my fair share of classical, in addition to the power/progressive heavy metal that I normally listen. Actually, you get bands like Nightwish or Visions of Atlantis, where those musicians are classically trained, and incorporate many symphonic and classical elements in their music. Get a band such as Xystus that used a full orchestra as part of their concert! You can watch it on KZbin. I do also sponsor the local symphony orchestra. This past October, they put on a really awesome Halloween themed concert, performing such pieces as "Dance Macabre" and "Night on Bald Mountain". As for the beach, being from Wisconsin, the beach, at least on the ocean, was pretty cool to see for the first time. I've been at the great lakes, especially Lake Michigan, many times as a kid, though. Now, being an avid skier, I actually do love the mountains in Colorado and have been there many times.

Neat little player and it'a shame the sound is so mediocre. I know small Bluetooth speakers can sound great because I have a Tribit Stormbox Micro 2 that performs way beyond what one would expect from such a diminutive audio device.
