The Sultanate of Telok Blangah

You will be surprised to know that there was once a Sultanate that has existed in Telok Blangah more than 200 years ago. What's more interesting is, it is still governed and owned by a sultanate till today. Join me as I unravel the historical nuggets of a burial ground that is located opposite of Vivo city where a Post Master called 'Temenggong' lived, and still lives on until today. Their untold legacies will definitely intrigue you.

What about Temenggong Daeng Abdullah, Temenggong Abdul Rahman 1st son? He succeeded his father and sit on the throne for 2 years before he was replace by his younger brother, Daeng Ibrahim. Please don't skip that chapter. It was also part of our history, please don't deny it.

Right till today, the Royal flag of Johor Darul Takzim stand solidly and proudly in Singapore, Johore Baru and Kota Tinggi is Johore Lama. From there, if you travel along the Sungei Johor downwards you will reach Pulau Tekong, Singapore...hence we have Johore Battery in Changi.

Dari Istana lama, apabila tak lagi diduduki. Mala dijual utk dijadikan kilang kasut bata sempena revolusi perindustrian n pembuatan Di Sana. Selepas kilang Bata dipindah operasi ke tempat baru, tanah yg bernilai jutaan Kali Ganda dibangunkan Condominium pula

Thank you very much bro Raj. Theoraticaly, a cemetery ground is established first, then comes the mosque that serves as a place to 'bathe' the corpse and given the last rites (Prayers) before burial. Hence, this mosque could be as old as the cemetery; some of which the tombstones have evidently shown to be in the 16th Century.

Salam. Kesultanan Melayu Singapura tak banyak dibicarakan. Di Malaysia kerabat Singapura dikaitkan dengan kesultanan Johor-Riau keturunan Melayu- Bugis. Silsilah mereka jelas dalam buku Silsilah Melayu-Bugis ditulis Raja Ali Haji. Kerabat Temasek mungkin ada pertalian dengan kerabat Kesultanan Johor Lama yang berpusat di batu Sawar/ Kota Tinggi yg merupakan warisan keturunan Melaka. Wallahualam.
