Diane they just put me On hospice. I am really scared I do not know what's left ? My husband of 34yrs is now in a nursing home. But I am only 67 is life over already
@miriammacdermot5601 Жыл бұрын
Dear Annie, I was watching a clip from Enchanted April and stumbled onto this site. I'm not sure why I chose to open up Diane's comment to view the replies. But when I read your post about being on hospice and being scared, I felt I should tell you what I believe in the hope that it will give you peace and comfort. I've been devoted to Jesus Christ since I was 12 and believe that He is truly the Son of God as He claimed. He has answered so many specific prayers of mine throughout my life and has been so faithful. Well according to His Word, the Bible, this life is not all there is by a long shot. It is a drop in the bucket. Jesus came to this world to take the consequences for the sin of humankind on the cross and then rose again because He is God. He has promised eternal life to all who admit their wrongs to Him and ask forgiveness and receive Him as Lord. My dad died during an operation and the doctors were not able to revive him. During the 20 minutes he was dead, he got a glimpse of heaven and spoke briefly with Jesus before he was sent back to his body. He lived another 30 year, against what the doctors said would happen. I have always believed the Bible but my dad's experience simply confirmed that belief. I've spoken with others who got a brief glimpse of heaven and they said it was beautiful but that the thing that stood out the most was the intense love of Jesus for them. Ask Him into your life, my friend. The fear will be replaced by His peace. God bless you.

Another masterpiece from the remarkable producer Mark Shivas who I was lucky to know. He was a knowledgable, cultured and sophisticated person of great kindness who is much missed. How the quality of so much television has declined over the years since then. This film is graced with great acting talent, a literate and well-written script, and solid production values that result in a brilliant evocation of post-war England that is both witty and moving.

She worked right up to 2015 but it seems the last two years of her life were not great, as she hated not working and said she felt the world had forgotten her. Well worth a read - the author Alice Thomas Ellis was a very talented writer. It's funny and moving, in equal measure. The only aspect of the book I didn't like, was that Mrs Monro's elderly dog died, that broke my heart!

What a great woman she was Lily, wasn't she! Even I feel grateful to her. I wish I could have done something like that, but I know , I would be too selfish for that.

Why is everyone complaining about the sound!? I've heard it just fine. If you asking, I heartily recommend it, funny and great acting.

What a great trio - Plowright, Walters, and Moreau. If you haven't seen it, watch Louis Malle's ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS, one of Moreau's early films.
