I watched Sam during the pandemic and he's made me actually CARE about cooking. It became more than just "making something to eat". I have a feeling other people share the same feelings I do. This man deserves some kind of humanitarian award

Hey Sam, next time you make something with corn 🌽 on the cob try pressure cooking it in the husk with 2 cups of water for three minutes. The corn is cooked beautifully and the silk comes off with the husk, super fast and easy.

I take a fresh ear of corn and microwave it in its husk for 3:30 min. It comes out perfect. So fresh I don’t even need butter. Been cooking fresh corn like this for years. The only downside is it’s best to do one ear at a time. Random….I can’t say this enough we love your meatloaf, and thanks for encouraging me to cook.

Doing corn on the cob on the BBQ, I always leave the husk on. Let them soak in water for at least 5 minutes first then just throw them straight on the grill until the husks start to blacken. The husk and hair basically falls off once it is cooked.

I know it's not time friendly, but my sister in law taught me to steam the corn in the instant pot before grilling and its absolutely the tastiest way I've ever had corn.
@kellypearsall45402 жыл бұрын
I just left a comment about steaming corn and then I saw your comment. LOL Honestly, don’t even bother getting your InstantPot out because all you need is a pot, a steamer basket or actually nothing, a good inch of water and a lid. Once steaming add your corn, cover and set timer for FOUR minutes. DONE! Curious how you do it in your InstantPot?

I’d actually be surprised if Sam doesn’t know this method, but you never know🤓

Well Sam clearly has never read the box of Saran Wrap because it says to make sure the Saran Wrap never touches food when used in the microwave. It even says to make sure it’s at least 1” or 2.54 cm above the food incase it droops from the heat.

There is a reason that you keep fresh corn in the husk to roast it because it softens it up naturally and you don't have to put it in the microwave. I didn't go to culinary school but I know at least one thing. The best corn on the cob within the husk is baked in an oven at about 325° for half an hour it's perfect and then you can grill it or do whatever. You can credit me for this lesson in one of your future cooking books.
