When Saturn was conjunct my Aquarius Sun in 2022, there was an immense emphasis on responsibility and freedom, letting go and starting from scratch, and finally taking the reigns of my own life; I left my husband who I had a (challenging) Sun-Saturn opposition with, but at the same time I also healed the pain towards my father who died two years previously when Saturn was conjunct his Capricorn Sun. A circle was complete. The old healed, the new had just begun. Everything was clear, but nothing came easy. (With Saturn in my first house, I’m quite familiar with those Saturnian traits…😅)

Wow. Thank you for sharing. You feel like a bit of a Saturn master to me, not in an ego way but in a I-lived-it-and-have-the-wisdom-to-show-for-it way. I am currently working this with Mercury conjunct Saturn in the 10th house with a transit Saturn opposition. @@earth2jennyl So happy my words are of help 😌 (Virgo rising ;)) I think the trick with Saturn is to first be aware of this energy playing out (thank you, astrology), then embrace this stern master inside yourself (might put a little smile on his grave face), and then totally surrender to the lessons being learned. It took me about forty years but I am now immensely grateful for the hard-won-pain-makes-you-grow-the-view-is-most-beautiful-on-top-of-the-mountain-sort of path I have been on. I’m not on the top of the mountain yet but I just know it will be marvelous and in the mean time the road is pretty pretty too 🤩 I wouldn’t be who I am and where I am today if it weren’t for the challenges, restrictions, the pain, the stripping away, the blockages, oppressors, the complete loss of self (that was Neptune though). They say that Saturn first-house-born will have a slightly lighter existence after midlife (finally, rewards!), and my Jupiter conj Asc affirms this MUST be true. 🤪⭐️ (PS, in my experience, Sat-Merc will make you a serieus communicator - strong and silent type 😎 - with perhaps some slightly melancholy thoughts, but this can result in very rewarding dark midnight conversations (with yourself, mainly) and insights that perhaps will stand the test of time 😌)

Also a first house Saturn native. You’re right, nothing comes easy, but Saturn gives me endurance, if nothing else, but very little is clear due to a near opposition between him and Neptune. Self-doubt is rampant for me. 😕

@@Skeptimystic I can totally relate! My Saturn is EXACTLY opposite my Venus in Pisces (and transit Neptune!) AND forms a square to my Neptune 🥴 So… Nothing is certain in life and love, except the challenge to distinguish reality from make believe without bringing death to hope, dreams and the incredible force of imagination; to see the spiritual in the material and to give the unseen a grounded base (somehow); building bridges between the form and formless, between the bones in our body and the invisible heart. To see the beauty of the imperfect world and the radiance of the struggling souls living in it. (That includes us too, by the way.) A great assignment I would say! (Most of the time.) (Sometimes.) (Well, it depends.) (I guess.)

Saturn was opposite my natal sun back when it was in Capricorn, my grandpa died, I hit rock bottom of my marriage got divorced at 22 ended up in a new super abusive relationship with someone who I frequently remember acting and sounding just like my father, left my church and lost faith in God. Suffice to say my life was a shit show and I have no idea how I made it through, but I do remember that I held on tightly to my grandpa’s parting words to everyone every visit “be good” Thank you so much for this Adam. My father passed away in May when Pluto in my 1st house squared/opposed mars in my 8th house. My dad was a Leo and Leo is my 8th house. I feel that all these themes apply to me as I struggle with finding the light and carrying on during dark times. Thank you for helping me see the silver lining.

You are describing my natal chart there. Sun in virgo in 12 house and saturn in 7'th house. Through out my life people have been baffled that I am still standing when others would jump a bridge. I do know when people lie in my face have gone through several lifes times worth of hard stof in my personal life. #grabbed. Accurate, I meet the criteria for all five questions. Plus Mercury rx through my 4th house of home life highlights that I am reviewing whether to stay in my home of 25 years or relocate. What IS the mature decision? Many Sun in Virgo sorting/sifting tasks at hand now. I have a lot of hard work (Saturn) ahead to get this place ready to sell, and I need a midwife (realtor) to guide me through this contraction period of downsizing, only to experience a setback in a recent hailstorm that damaged the roof AND the house’s siding. More complications and delays. And I still have to find somewhere else to live, if I do this! Gah! Thanks universe ! 😬. Self-doubt, along with endurance, and feeling like I was born old, all are legacies of my first house Saturn. I can do this but not without being plagued with confusion and perfectionism. 😞. I believe there’s a square going on between Saturn and my natal Saturn, adding to the friction. No wonder I’m struggling right now. Also, paternal karma comes into play because my late partner (male, a father figure for me) helped me get this current place. Now I'm moving on without him, bringing up old grief. 😢

I witnessed both a birth and a death as you described the energy of Sun opp Saturn. I work with a lady that was due to have her baby by the end of this week (9/1) and as of last Friday was in discussions to be induced. Her contractions started naturally and Skylar was born the afternoon of Monday, 8/28. Also, you made mention of paternal death. Unexpectedly, a separate friend of ours lost his brother by heart attack on Saturday. “Saturn-day”, sadly he just celebrated his 50th in June and was the Sr of his family. I’m a 3° Virgo Sun and I hit the lottery Friday. I’m not sure what aspects my sun was making but it happened on my deceased fathers bday.
