I still grapple with the subject of suffering and it being a "good" thing. I watched my extremely devout grandmother who seldom missed daily mass (walking a mile in each direction at the age of 75+) in her entire life become afflicted with Alzheimer's, and suffered for over 9 years, bedridden for most of it and finally passed at the age of 91. Maybe because I have not suffered at that level I cannot understand what "good" suffering is. I humbly pray to the Holy Spirit to give me the Grace and Wisdom to get past these doubts 🙏✝🙏
