A short play script by KIDSINCO.
This animation came about as I needed a final project to do for my film editing class. Total time taken was approx 3 weeks of part time work due to other commitments at my 3D Animation school.

I am putting on a production of this play-in an expanded format-with my theater class this coming December. The first time I read the script, I fell in love with its simple moral. I have added characters; the Narrator, the Moon, the Stars, and speaking parts for the Rose Queen. There's even a cactus in the beginning that asks for petals but no leaves, just thorns "...If you please" along with a child-operated venus flytrap to keep the audience's attention of any dialog errors. This has been a wonderful experience, designing the set, creating costumes, and working with the children to develop the additional characters and dialog. In my drama class, the children participate in all aspects of the production, and even have the opportunity to direct (in rehearsals only). I, of course, credit you in the handbill and the introduction to the audience. Your original script was roughly a page and a half and I have expanded it to just over four pages to run for 5 minutes. It may be a short play, but it will be quite a production with special effects and excellent performances by my students ranging from 6 yo to 14 yo. Thanks for an awesome play!
