Damn bro...I felt that. Just know you're not alone. I hope you've found some comfort since then. May your friend rest in peace, and may you feel the change the day you reflect on your memories together and smile, laugh to yourself, and do positive in honor of his memory. I know, believe me. At least for now, we have these soulful oldies that last forever. Stay strong.

I remember playing this song in 93/94 after breaking up in HS. Now I’m 43 years old. Listening to it outside of my driveway for the last 2 hours at 1am. Reading all the comments and their stories. Thought it’s only fitting if I share mine. This song is powerful and timeless. Thank you everyone for sharing... PS we broke up but had A daughter in HS and she’s 25 now and Teaching in Whittier Ca. I’m married with a 6 year old boy and life is alright... It’s ok

I like the irony in his voice. He's so hurt he has to disguise it with comedy. He's going crazy. This is someone that doesnt trust easy and finally gave their full trust to someone. Gave them the benefit of the doubt because they truly believed in the goodness of them and it turned out they betrayed him. But because he is damaged and strong he believes he will be ok.

My lady of 4 years, love of my life, she meant absolutely everything to me has got up and left for someone new. My birthday is tomorrow and all my heart wishes for is for her to come back and work it out. My heart is shattered into a million and wherever she is I just hope she’s alright. Why must love be like this

Everything happens for a reason. Better now than 10 years down the road with kids involved. You'll get through it just keep you're head up. Can't force anyone to love you like you do them. Like WAR says " don't let no one get you down" as hard as it is. You'll find you're real soul mate someday. Good luck
