This is awesome. Harada is full of surprises! And what a great conversation. I learned a lot about the modern robotics industry. Ken Kutagari's raw ambition is almost dizzying with how much he still wants to accomplish outside of Sony. This is the most interesting interview I've seen in a quite a while. Funny that Kutaragi says that Japanese companies are "stubborn" yet Harada stubbornly supports a dead console (PS5) in Japan which will hurt Namco in the long run and Kutaragi nearly killed Sony.

@@Molybed1 to be fair the Ps3 was a bet to enter the computer space as well because of the cell processor. The problem is that Kutaragi lost the sight of the game developers friendly environment and that's what killed the net he made. If the cell was easy to develop for it could have been a really different story. And that's not true that's not his mistake that nearly killed Sony but an accumulation of unwillingness to adapt quickly and change combined with huge losses on the TV and electronics departments that were facing a fearce competition from the Taiwanese / Korean companies which were cheaper and faster to adapt to the market. That was that who almost killed Sony and the entire Japanese electronics industry... Add to that the 2011 hack and you have a crazy cocktail that could have killed any company. And a for today the Ps5 is slowly increasing it's sales in Japan but still facing shortages like around the world.
