With the world amidst the largest civil rights movement in history, America now has to deal with it's ugly foundation of racism. I believe one of the ways everyone can tackle this is not only through information, but the super human ability to feel.

Iman!!!! I am so happy to see you back, though I am deeply saddened by the reasons. Love you forever from Ohio... I grew up in Cleveland on the East Side for many years.... Being the only white girl in my neighborhood, i was almost 15 years old before I knew what white was let alone white privilege..... I learned to dance, cook soul food, do hair and dress by black and latin people....Needless to say, It hurts my heart with all that has been going on for WAY too many years and it needed to stop long ago... George Floyd was the final straw and it shouldnt have taken this long... I will NEVER know what you and all black, african, mixed and all other darker skinned people have to endure in this world because of hatred and ignorance, but know that you always have true allies in my family. My family is made up of all races, nationalities and cultures... We love everyone regardless.... Its not about how you look but how you treat others and live....

Iman, your content is absolutely amazing! it's clear that you're a fantastic podcaster. Your engaging style and insightful conversations are a true delight. What's fascinating is that I recently attended a retreat hosted by Lisa Haisha, a renowned life coach, and she couldn't stop praising your work. She specifically mentioned this podcast episode, highlighting how exceptional you are at what you do. Keep up the fantastic work, Iman! Your podcast isn't just informative; it's a journey of self-discovery.

I'm a white Australian, who grew up in a suburban semi-country town in Victoria. My best friends growing up were First Nations (Aboriginal) boys and I will never forget seeing them constantly verbally attacked, pulled over by the cops, segregated by white parents. Just the most beautiful boys, unfailingly wholesome. Recently I watched a video about how African-American parents need to give their kids 'the talk' about how to act appropriately around police and authorities and I remember my friends getting a similar talk. It has always and will always break my heart. I hope that one day acceptance shouldn't need to be thought about, and just be an inherent part of sharing this world with one another. This was an important video and an important discussion to have and thank you for coming back to make this podcast.

In the white community I live in, one time I went to my mailbox lockbox thing. There was a cop in there speaking to the clerk who was a white lady elder in their community. I heard him tell her how he worked as a cop in the black communities and he stated that he didn't feel welcomed and loved from blacks, even though he had feelings of welcome and love for blacks... It's things that both sides feel and experience... I have stories... For the most part When it comes to whites, I think that due to their peers feelings and beliefs about blacks, it influence them to act certain ways toward us... They have to stand for what's right...

As a black man, I know exactly how you feel. I have a ridiculous amount of stories similar or worse than the stories you shared. You mentioned puttiing on the jacket but maaaaaan if they could put on the shoes. Just for one day man. I promise they would be appalled/confused/speechless/fearful/angry/etc Also i been subscribed to you since you lived in NY. So for YEARS lol it's good to see you again ✊🏿💯

Hi, Iman. I wish that millions could see this podcast instead of thousands. It says so much. _ I think the most penetrating parts are when you told your own childhood experiences. Your personal experiences take even older white phartz like me behind the headlines and see what goes on every day. You do not need to worry about "going overboard" as you described. Describing those experiences really connects, and makes it hard for anyone to ignore or brush aside or trivialize or deflect from (though some do, even at the top levels of government, ahem). You might consider writing those experiences down, or podcasting, etc. to share with your descendants and whoever else you want. Those truths shouldn't be lost even if they're painful to remember. _ I think the reason George Floyd has inspired such a wide reaction is that anyone could experience, firsthand, that he was a thinking and feeling human being. Many other cases were "from a distance", but with George Floyd, no one can help but be appalled when seeing, minute by minute, a murder committed with such nonchalance. You hit the nail on the head when you say there has been a shortage of empathy, but George Floyd's last few minutes may have helped to change our culture. _ I think humans still have deep-seated tendencies toward tribalism, with racism being one expression of that tribalism. But we also do have the ability to empathize and to reason and rise above our primal tribalism. And we all have to look at ourselves, which is what George and your podcast make us do. _ Thanks for doing this podcast.

I have worn that jacket. Mine was a different kind and not as scratchy. Despite being white, I have has horrible racism directed at me for the was I look. Slurs for my sexuality as well. I have had some of my own family (who are half-white) also direct racist remark toward me for the colour of my skin. Racism is a dirty and disgusting thing.

I agree with you for the most part except the view on Pewdiepie. He has made amends for the mistakes he made and isn't the same person now which is why KZbin is working with him again. People change. Racism is a systematic problem in the US (and other countries) and has to stop.
