In the Australian movie "Body Melt" a new type of dietary supplement is released on the unsuspecting neighborhood in Homesville. This Vitamin is being produced to unlock human potential, but it actually turns out to be an absolute total mess that literally makes a mess of people. In todays episode we will discuss where it went wrong and the hypothesized origins of it!
Thank you for watching Roanoke Gaming and I hope you enjoy The Supplement from Body Melt Explored | When good Vitamins go Horribly Wrong

Random townsfolk in Australia? Let’s be real here, the towns folk re-constituted themselves like five minutes after the credits rolled, the mere fact they live in Australia proves there bodies can regenerate from any and all harm up to and including systemic bodily collapse, literal melting, godzilla level of radiation, the T-virus, the G-virus, the C-virus, the eruption of all of earths volcanos simultaneously, the sun going red giant, the combine invasion, doctor Bright going on a Sunday drive, god descending, majin buu style candy-fication and the invasion of the Warp.

I know this has been up for a while now, just felt the need to point out that old lifespan averages being in the 30s wasn't actually because most people were dying in their 30s. It was because so many children died of illness or various other causes that the average got dragged down. If you made it into your 20s, you could be expected to live well into your 60s and occasionally 70s.

Prokaryotic Cells became alert to the concept of slavery. And, as their numbers grew, to slavery's antidote which, of course, is unity. At first, they began assembling in small groups. They learned the art of corporate and militant action. They learned to refuse. At first, they just grunted their refusal. But then, on an historic day, which is commemorated by my species and fully documented in the sacred scrolls, there came Vimuville. He did not grunt. He articulated. He spoke a word which had been spoken to him time without number by Human Cells. He said 'No.'

And that the "mechanic" had removed the stabilizer that prevented total genetic collapse and cell death. But your explanation makes much more sense when it comes to it's ability to be passed on to other people.

Apparently the thing that notifies people when they are about to damage their meat suit from overuse in my body has been damaged. I now have to hold back in almost everything i do. I have ripped tendons and damaged muscle tissue this way. This nerve damage also makes it so almost every physical sensation i get is delayed and deadened. So every morning I do a VSE to make sure I am not missing parts or chunks that i may have missed the previous day. I have had friends say to me... " Umm... You know your bleeding right?". I'll find the wound and say Ty. They look at me like i am a monster. :P

how do you think alex murcer from the game prototype would work out in real life? would he just cook him self alive and cagulate his entire body like how frying an egg in a red hot pan, thanks to his seconds fast regeneration and bodily building for diferent weapons or would he somehow be able to survive that kind of level of cell generation
@notsae66
@notsae66 3 жыл бұрын
Isn't it heavily implied he doesn't actually generate any cells but simply steal them from others. He doesn't have regeneration, he just shifts his mass around and assimilates more cells; that's kinda why he needs to restore his "biomass" by eating people.
@SuperNova-nl5eb
@SuperNova-nl5eb 3 жыл бұрын
@@notsae66 well yeah, but think of it like this, when you're 1 bullet away from dieing, you look exactly the same as when he us max HP, I feel like with the virus, he developed like a super cell that stores everything that he consumed as compressed energy, instead of fat not to also mention shifting biomass around would currently require a lot of energy aswell
@notsae66
@notsae66 3 жыл бұрын
@@SuperNova-nl5eb Honestly, that's the kinda thing we basically have to chalk up to game limitations, much like his inability to swim is (contrary to popular belief) not because water somehow harms him but because the developers just didn't want to program that and thought it didn't fit the gameplay style and the fact that he can retake the shape of anyone he's consumed, not just the last one. Some of the abilities he has couldn't be displayed in the game because their simply aren't enough buttons and so on, like the fact that (unlike Heller) Mercer was capable of freeform shapeshifting and creating his own new weapons (Heller needed to consume existing genes to adapt himself, Mercer just came up with them seemingly in the fly) and that he can (as the second game showed) deliberately infect others. He is essentially a ball of slime in the shape of a human being, taking in more meat to make into slime to keep himself together when he loses existing slime. As for the super cells... maybe? He does seem to be incredibly dense in the literal sense. I don't know how much energy that would take, but eating entire human beings by the dozens seems like it would supply a good bit.

man, the 90s were a hell of a drug in all seriousness, I do have my own theory about what's going on. It's possible that the mechanic worked for a chemical company that was developing some sort of steroid, presumably to increase growth of cattle due to the beef industry being so prominent in Australia. When the steroid didn't work/did work but had unintended side effects, the chemical company was bought by a fitness corporation that repurposed the chemical plant to manufacture the supplement. Either the supplement was designed from the previous steroid or contaminated by half-assed sanitization of the facility and equipment (as is par for the course with any corporation), to screw with the effects of the supplement. Chances are once the formula was complete the mechanic who was working at the chemical plant (and by extension developed genetic damage from chemical exposure due to lax safety culture at the plant) to develop it was let go due to corporate downsizing and he sabotaged the formula by snatching the stabilizing compound on the way out. I think the "supplement" is more of a hyper-steroid than an infectious pathogen, and causes existing bacteria and other cells in the body to mutate rapidly. this sort of explains the varied responses that are displayed by the victims, with odd growths in some and biological matter acting independent of the main body in others. The mutations would compound and cause a runaway effect as the genetic aberrations building up until the cells just fall apart.
