I’m hoping that the magnesium in my primal multivitamin will do the trick! Thanks for chiming in. I really appreciate it and hopefully I won’t get any leg cramps either.🤞😀

Last year I added Magnesium to my supplements to help with leg cramps. Happy to say after 2200 miles I never got a leg cramp. Best of luck.

Thursday, March 07th: Good luck in carrying supplements. On the AT, often demand is higher than supply. Many resupply places have difficulties keeping fresh produce in stock, much less food supplements. Here's wishing you success! Happy Trails! Ross08

Ugh I wish I was this organized. I’m still looking at a heaping pile I need to organize. Just got through tax season with my business so I’ll have more time now. My daughter and girlfriend are going to help me get serious 😂. I’m with you on the supplements train. Mine are black cohosh and vitamin E, they have changed how my body recovers from hard workouts. It’s almost time, so exciting 🎉

It definitely feels like I’m getting more chaotic the closer I am to stepping on the trail. I’m glad you have family and friends to help you good luck and I will see you on the trail🙌😀

I haven’t been taking this specific multivitamin. I picked it specifically for the trip. But it seemed to have all the things that I felt like I needed.

Hi Carrie, sounds like you are well prepared with your supplements. I've been wondering if you're taking sunscreen with you. If not, please consider doing so. The trees won't be as leafy as later in the season and the sun may be filtering through. Anyway, just a thought. Can't wait for you to get started. I'm so excited for you. I believe you can do this.

Thank you JUDI yes, I am going to bring sunscreen. I just didn’t put it in my first aid kit.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking for a great supplement that actually works. I'm 54, and for the last 2 years my body feels like it's 84.. Ive been wondering lately, how am I ever going to be able to do an A.T. thru hike feeling the way i do after several miles of hiking in flat Florida. I would definitely be interested in a recovery plan if you shared one.. good luck. I'm eagerly awaiting your vlogs. Stay safe!!!

Thank you I hope that the protein that I take at the beginning and end of the day is going to help me. I know the protein at the end of the day will definitely help in recovery and I hope that the supplements will help do that trick as well. I may take the one turmeric pill in the evening and take the Protandim pill in the morning. That way I spread out the turmeric.

I have experienced a noticeable improvement in inflammation when i use .5-1 tsp of turmeric or a supplement daily. I'll bet this helps a lot on trail. The multi vitamin is great too and likely still not enough but it's something. Good luck!

I’m hoping it will help! I agree something is better than nothing 😀

Are you going to do a "recovery drink" as soon as you stop for the day? Feral(triple crown) did a video on his a couple of years ago. Some hikers have said that just a Carnation Essentials is a good recovery drink. Good Luck, Rick
@carrieprewitt11 ай бұрын
Yes, I’ll definitely do something. I know that once you stop doing whatever workout you’re doing it’s important to get protein in your system the first 20 minutes afterwards for the best opportunity to have recovery for the next day.

@@carrieprewittWhat we teach lives a lot longer than we do. Maybe you will want to develop a recovery plan and share it with other hikers. Good Luck, Rick
