Just wanted to say I absolutely love your channel, you guys together are very nice and it's nice to see you guys on camera together. I watch a bunch of your videos. Just a tip for thermal paste application you don't want to have too much as it should really just fill in any gaps between then metal surfaces, not be a complete layer between them like you have done. You actually reduce heat sink effectiveness having too much paste as it reduces the amount of direct contact of the heat sink to the motor, the paste should be used sparingly to only have it move and fill in any microscopic gaps in the materials to provide more efficient heat transfer.

the 3s ESC fan has clips to snap it on, but for some extra durability, we added a coarse thread screw which drills straight in between the heat sink fins. it holds it there tight and dandy! 😀

Hey! New subscriber here…good stuff. Since you are spending time upgrading the Supra I have some comments. I have upgraded all the Supra’s electronics to increase speed and control. Let’s face it, the brushed system and electronics suck. Added a Spektrum 6100 AVC receiver, HiTec D625MW servo, and Castle Sidewinder 3 and 5700 Kv motor. Also added a Castle 10amp BEC so I can get 7.4v to my steering servo (car is bigger so I wanted more servo power). Upgraded the spur and pinion to 62T/31T to get insane speeds. Front and rear sway bars and stiffer springs added to both front and rear. If you intend on pushing your Supra to the limit, I highly recommend one more upgrade so you don’t suffer the same fate as me. Going brushless, you should add the hardened differential joints before you take her out. I made the mistake of adding all these upgrades and changes before upgrading my joints from the plastic to the steel. First time out, the right rear diff joint gave up….it blew apart at 80-90% throttle (maybe 60+ mph) and basically tripped over itself and it ended up sliding down the street on the lid. Body has some scuffage, but looks ok. After that I added the upgraded diff joints. I took it for a spin and all good. May have been a fluke, but don’t take the chance!

The receiver box has a small little square lid on the top. Somehow mine popped off when I was running my hoss. Do you know where you can purchase one of those little square receiver top caps?
