THE SUPREME COURT ON MARATHA RESERVATION - IN NEWS

I think it's the right time that we shift from a Caste based reservation system to an Economic condition-based reservation. The problem with the current reservation system is that we have included all the people of a particular caste or a society but we know that every caste and society has some affluent people also who don't need a reservation. For example, our President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind belongs to the SC category and has a very good income but still, its children got the reservation. SO, HOW IS THIS JUSTIFIED? So, this is one example, there are a lot of such other examples also. I am not denying the fact that in history a lot of atrocities were committed on SCs but now we're committing the same atrocities on the general category students who have no fault in this. They were not living at that time. It's the same that a son is punished for the crime which was committed by his father. So, how is this is justified?

Ya completely agreed with u .... and also a proper platform should be made that in temples, person's from all the classes sc or St...can be the priests..... And every classes should accept that

Due Process of Law:- 1. Firstly, there must be a law justifying interference with the person's life and liberty. 2. Secondly, the law should be a valid law. 3. Thirdly, the procedure laid down by the law should have been strictly followed.

Maratha is dominated caste in Maharashtra...

As you know some of the Marathas are financially strong and some are dominant in politics. And many of us have lands and farms of our forefathers. But the condition of farmers in maharashtra is not very good, some of them are very poor and can't even fulfil their basic needs. So forget about their children's education and other needs. And most of the farmers are Marathas and a huge Maratha population is financially weak. Some of the farmers can earn very good amount of money but they are very few. And after all these things, educated people are searching for jobs all over the country and we are not an exception for that. So you cannot judge the whole thing based on the prosperity of few people.

But mam 10% reservation for EWS is also breach the cap of 50% reservation. I am not able to understand why this reservation continue
