In 1965, I was 16 years old. My mother always had the kitchen radio on listening to OUR ERA music, she loved our music. Mind you, she was born in 1924. She loved this song, she would start dancing while cooking dinner for our family. Miss you mom !

I have every Supremes 45 & albums. Florence Ballard will always be the Supremes to me. Her voice, even in the background, was amazing, stunning. I always wonder why she was so wronged. Surely, she must have known. I love it when she sings " I can't break away " in Nothing but Heartaches. Those 4 words make the sound thrilling to hear.

I grew up listening to this music. My mother and father's music every weekend they had their little "get-togethers" with my uncles, aunts and friends. They would cook, eat, drink, play cards and enjoy themselves. The only one I have left from that generation is my precious mother and she's close to 80. The joy I get from listening to this music is the memories of my dear family most of whom are not here anymore. That generation was so classy. Thank you

Eleven days earlier on May 1st it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and on June 12th it peaked at #1 {for 1 week} and spent 11 weeks on the Top 100... It was their last of 5 straight #1 records, and during the year 1965 alone they had four #1 records {the others were Come See About Me", "Stop! In The Name of Love", and "I Hear A Symphony"}...

One of the eighteen acts to appear on the show were the Supremes; at the time the trio's "Back In My Arms Again" was at #15 on Billboard’s Hot Top 100 chart, twenty-two days earlier on June 6th, 1965 it had peak at #1 {for 1 week} and it stayed on the chart for 11 weeks... It was their fifth straight #1 record on the Top 100; their next release, "Nothing But Heartaches", would peaked at #11 but then they bounced right back with "I Hear a Symphony", for it peaked at #1 for two weeks...
