Felipe is the most humble dude. One of the best spokesman’s of the sport by far.

They never really even get down to talking about the board! What model / how did it go / how was it different etc

so... what surfboard model is it? there are many sharpeye´s
@cactus7198 Жыл бұрын
Most likely the 77 and the 77+. Obviously if he was just switching over the storms wouldn’t be created yet, and he doesn’t really ride HT’s. Haven’t seen one under his feet, though apparently he does indeed ride them. The 77 and 77+ are sharpeye’s #1 pro boards. Even recently signed surfers like Rio Waida ride them most. (Strange, Rio Waida has stated before that his favorite board was the Inferno 72, yet he doesn’t seem to ride them in professional tournaments. For example, his Meo Portugal quiver he posted just today is almost all 77 and 77+s.) The only people who really deviate from the 77 as their core board are Filipe Toledo with the HTs, Kanoa Igarashi nowadays with the storms, and Jack Robinson with the synergy. Basically, if they don’t really have their own line within Sharpeye, they ride the 77 and 77+, which is what Igarashi would’ve done if he was freshly signed with the company. Sorry for the rant, I’m a bit of a sharpeye board fanatic. I own the I72, HT2.5, 77+, and the Storms.

@@cactus7198 how does the 77 go? Thinking of getting one.
@cactus7198 Жыл бұрын
@@julzylil I don't own the 77, but the 77+ feels very smooth and fast. I bought it with more volume than I usually go for, for some reason it seems to manage lumps and ribs on 6ft+ waves well, seems to smooth them out almost. It's a step up though, not too many days I take it out over the Inferno 72 or the Storms. Truthfully, I'd just go with an I72 if u don't already have one. It and the Storms are the boards I truly rank above the rest. Everyone and their mom seems to love the I72 like I do so you really can't go wrong with it.

@@cactus7198 thx for ur message. What do u prefer between the HT2.5 and the Storms ?
@cactus7198 Жыл бұрын
@@iLoveTurtle29 The current shortboards I still actively use are the storms and the I72. Storms

Kanoa needs to stop being so front footed and having too low of a stance. He bogs his rail a lot from too much front foot pressure.

He was almost continually falling on his front side snap cutbacks not too good if you want to be world champ someday
