I still like how the Garden City Pier has the bar at the end of the pier. However, it is great to have it open again. I just hope they keep it clean.

garden city has two great bars and great food.. but everything about garden city pier other than fishing is free. you will have to pay to even walk on this pier soon so want be as user friendly as you want it to be. no pay parking either at garden city @@BeachinwiththeBoones

awesome, thanks for sharing, cool to get a first hand tour, don't get down that way too often when in the area, but looks great. will it always be free to just walk on? you will have to get up to the cherry grove pier too for a new tour, they open today 2/3 of it for now. and they are letting folks fishing on some of it. so good news for the grand strand for the opening of piers that got damaged in the past years. keep up the good work

Not sure if the price will be set soon. We heard somewhere that they were keeping it free for 1 yr. since it took so long, but that may be just a rumor. Also, good to hear about Cherry Grove. We'll have to try and get there soon. Thanks for watching!

The tackle shop should be open in a few weeks. Once it does open, they will start selling fishing licenses and fishing will then be allowed. Then a little further down the road they will be opening two restaurants. The Surf Dinner will be back, and a new one call The Whistling Duck.

Yes, they say it's designed to break away in bad storms, where they can replace the boards quickly and it doesn't really damage the pier.

There were lights on some of the side rails as we were walking. We saw some of it lit while we were at Scotty's Beach Bar beside it the other night, but we'll have to check it out to be sure.
