Howdy ya savages! who’s hitting 14,000 steps with me today? 🤠 better slam the like button btw

I do that most days because I wait tables in a restaurant and I often bike 5 miles to work and another 5 back. My coworkers make the same amount of steps and half of them are still morbidly obese.

@ biking 10 miles a day is a large difference in activity btw. Also stressful busy job influence hormones and is not conducive to metabolic health. Poor sleep, economic concerns, etc all play a role there’s way more to unpack.

Going for walk is one thing I take for granted. I’ve really neglected it recently. If/when I do walk, I prefer to do it in the mornings. It helps me get my blood flowing early in the day, and gives me a chance to be social by saying “hi” or “good morning” to a neighbor or stranger. The world needs more connection and community. Let’s get outside and walk more. I’m on board the 30 day challenge. Let’s get it.

Bro, that intensity bias... so true. It's always there but we are not conscious of it. Should make more people aware of it.

I did this with strength training. I figured out going in hitting 3 or 4 weight machines for at least 3 sets of whatever number I feel like. And a year later I have the bigger arms I wanted. I need to start walking again it would probably be cheaper than therapy. I am not very motivated by my overall health what would you suggest as an alternative motivation? I did the strength training for the bigger arms and to lift the boxes at work and I stopped smoking by telling myself it was making me stink and vaping didnt look cool. I started cpap therapy to try and fix my sleep(its going horribly I hate that machine) Do you have a more cosmetic reason or a silly reason to motivate you to walk? Again I don't care about my health and have a serious mental illness so its hard to motivate myself using "you'll feel better as a reason." Love your content and I'm so excited to watch your jouney to becoming an NP

you need someone who will guide you everyday unconditionally, because that mental illness is an uphill battle, like a fish swimming upstream against a strong current

It's always the simplest things that we take for granted. My grandma has walked everyday and at 82 years young she's a rockstar.

What a beast I love that. And truly simplicity is key 🔑
