At the prices they charge for a coffe , these orders not surprising at all , for 24 dollar or so for a single coffe , it better be not something you coud make at home with ease. For what they charge they better just smile , be polite , and make what you ordered. Politnes is always a basic for both the barista and the customer.

At a certain point, there's no more room for the coffee. Cups are only so tall, but they want 1/2" of each of the milks. All of the drizzles and pumps take up space too. I'm easy. Just plain dark coffee, black, no sugar.

These drinks people are ordering aren’t even coffee.

So what? This is called commerce, product supplied, customer paid, end of story. Sometimes products requested are more complicated than others. No story here.

Sounds like the company needs to address the options they give customers. Smh. Dont blame the customers for ordering their preference. Keep it basic and you wont have this issue complaining
@mammon3102 жыл бұрын
Starbucks barista here, yes, this is the problem, corporate allows this. We get regulars who come in and order drinks that are impossible. Then they complain that drink tastes wrong, and get a second drink free, nothing we can do about it until they leave, customer service for one, long waits for everyone else.

@Led Zed i mean honestly the last thing the ceo should want is their own employees talkin shyt about the very customers who give this company the economy to create jobs. Smh bad business practices

@@byrongrimsley500 yup, essentially setting up employees in a lose lose situation, I got a complaint from a lady because the drink they wanted was simply not possible, I told her to stand aside so I can take care of the long line and angry people waiting behind her while she decided what to get.

I have worked in c.s. waiting on people. People see you as someone they are allowed to be a jerk too. I do not engage in social media because partly in that is the way people treat each other (like jerks) . Why do people do this? Any enjoyment anyone could possibly get from acting this way only lasts a second or two. And it just makes the receipient want to treat someone they see as lesser that way. It is a viscious cycle. Just let it go. Don't do it. You may just find you feeling better about yourself because you know you are not a jerk.

Who cares? They paid. I would understand if the person did not pay, but shaming someone for their order? I hope the barista who posted this order was fired. So sick and tired of service workers acting inconvenienced because someone PAYS for something specific. These people chose their job. Do it and stop looking for sympathy.

There are three ways to look at this. Way one: This is bad. I think that the real issue is management at Starbucks who comes up with these orders. These orders are not only very hard to make, they take many staff workers, kill employee morale, inconvenience and impact the quality of service for the majority of customers, and in the long run, the profit per cup could be diminished by the cost of having to pay for the materials and time spend on the cup. Their business model and their R&D department need to change their way of thinking. If Starbucks is targeting a wide audience who wants to grab their coffee and go, then this is not the way to do it. Way two: So what if the order is complicated? If someone is going out of their way to order coffee, they might be more interested in having a nice, fancy order. After all, a quick brew of grocery store French Roast and creamer is something you can do at home, so if you are going out, you might as well shell out some extra dollars for a fancier drink. You are also paying for aforementioned drink. The employee was specifically hired and trained to create said drink, despite the complexity. Way three: Compromise. Fancy drinks definitely have their place in Starbucks. However, super, super long orders can be an issue to employees, other customers orders, and profits. There should be some cap on how much can be going on in the drink. R&D should focus more on how long it might take the barista to get through the order. Or there should be more training and more staff. Perhaps a combination of all three. Make drinks a more manageable effort, but still keep a good degree of complexity.

Imagine getting upset that you have to do your job. I worked in service for over 10 years and I never once got upset about someone’s order. And I got some pretty crazy orders. It’s my job to make them their order, no matter how crazy it is. If they wanna pay for it, I’ll make it. People are making it seem like they have to walk 1000 miles and do a handstand. It’s not that hard to make coffee, no matter how complex the drink is.

This is a sad pathetic attempt for attention by a barista who probably just started. And the idea that “online ordering is out of control due to the pandemic” is just as pathetic. They’ve CLEARLY BEEN ALLOWING THIS PRACTICE since they started doing online ordering YEARS AGO.

Positively cray cray! Honestly?? I've only tried Starbucks *ONCE* ... 24 years ago. Yep.. You read that right. Though I do splurge....and buy a cold 4 pk now and then at the grocery store and drink it chilled with chopped ice. 4 for the price of one. ☕ ☕
