Just got done adoptiong a dog from my local shelter. He has high anxiety and they said his is afraid of men and may snap. My wife and I have yet to see the aggression because he always has a safe place where he can go. Today was the first time he ran up to me wagging his whole body and he was happy to see me. Smokey is one heck of a dog. I am glad I got him.

Absolutely love what you do. I live on my mom's property of 42 acres to take care of her, and because we're in the country on county roads people are always abandoning their dogs here. I've lived here since 2015 when my dad passed away, and since then have rehomed 14 dogs, including puppies from dogs that were dumped while they were pregnant. Because of the dogs I've come to know and love, I now have 3 dogs of my own that I couldn't bear to give up. It takes a big heart to love these animals and still know that they would have a better life somewhere else. Thank you for what you do.

I will never understand why people think that shelter animals or animals with old injuries are "broken" or not worth it. I've had tripods, one-eyes, deaf, and senior rescues. They're no different than rescues that are "whole".

Vince is adorable. I found 2 Dalmadores in a shelter a couple hours away. They are sisters, and all they had was each other. I knew I could never let them be separated, so I adopted both of these sisters. I love them so much. ❤

I‘ve only a one room apartment so I couldn‘t do the same, but the Romanian rescue dog I am adopting had her sister with her in the kennel….I just hope that as soon as I get to go to a dog trainer with my rescue, the sister dog may find a home near me because I will tell everyone about her…

I adopted a German Shepherd from an amazing facility. I saw her online & her eyes just spoke to me. She acted exactly like Vince. She was extremely emaciated due to being passed from shelter to shelter. Fast forward 4 months to me having a happy, healthy, & amazing service dog. We were made for each other. She cost $25 to adopt plus special nutrition & vet care. She is my freedom, my love, & literally my life. GSDs do not do well in shelters. They attach to one person mainly but accept & love the entire family. My advice to persons needing a service dog….research everything & scan every shelter you can drive to. Your perfect dog is waiting, you just have to find them.

I'm shocked that a German Shepherd Rescue hasn't taken Vince. He's gorgeous!!! And he's sweet as can be. I donate to German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, though I live on the East Coast. I've seen many wonderful reviews about them. Apparently, they have weekly adoption events so that the dogs can potentially meet their forever families every week. All the other dogs you showcased are beautiful as well. I hope they all find the loving forever homes that ALL dogs deserve - and soon! God bless you, Rocky. You are truly an earth angel.

I am a German Shepherd lover. If our shelters were clean like the ones you visit, I would be there all the time, giving them the love they need. One ear is just like my German Shepherd. One ear is up and One is down. Yes she does have both ears but it does not matter to MA. We also rescued a newfoundland. We have rescued 2 German Shepherds and 2 neffys along with many kitty's. We have been rescuing for 22 years now. Thank for your videos.

I agree Rocky! It is so sad when people dont take the time with these incredible dogs. They could make someone a wonderful companion. The beautiful shepherd with one ear, gives him more character. He is still the same dog as German shepherds go. Ive had a few German shepherds in my life. So loyal and loving. Once they find their humans, they are dedicated for life. It makes me mad and sad, that people throw furry family members away like old garbage. They've got so much love to give, anyone that will give them the love and attention they deserve. I have owned three dogs, all "second hand". They do require time and sometimes extra money to heal from their past but the gratitude and loyalty is incredible. The dogs you sit with remind me of my first dog. He was a repo. His breeder bought him back when it was obvious he was being neglected. He cowered and hid under furniture for a while after I bought him but once we earn his trust he was such a wonderful little buddy. I decided always to pick second hand dogs after that and I have no regrets.

We adopted a 3 legged mostly German Shepard named Trippy. He had been with 3 other one day families before us. He has been such a blessing to our family. If people knew how a rescue could be such a gift, more would do it.

I love this man and his wife for the work they do for these homeless (for whatever reason) dogs. So sweet. If I could, I would be happy to adopt one also. But the love they show, warms my heart. Thank you so much for sharing their stories. I can remember from years ago, watching these sweet stories on TV and am so happy to have found them on KZbin, now.

I can understand that pain. When Anastasia was hit, and my neighbor told me I literally collapsed on the ground and cried for most of the day. It's now been like four years and still I cry from time to time. She was truly the greatest thing to happen to me up to date.

both Astro and Vince are beautiful. all of the dogs in this video are just too adorable. so glad that Astro got adopted by these wonderful people and their two beautiful Shiba Inus. hopefully Vince and Franklin and mama dog find their forever homes soon. I would adopt both Vince and Franklin in a heartbeat if I could.
