Koume & Kotake are my favourite example of what they did with the NPCs here. In Hyrule we know them as baddies that have raised the main villain, but in this dimension they're wholesome grannies who sell potions

The pictograph guy is actually a fantastic example of them thinking ahead and making our lives much easier. He assumes (incorrectly, the first time) that you already know what to do which makes it so you don't have to deal with his ignorance the following times when you're handing in pictographs so he doesn't question why you already know and have a picto box. This is also done with others things and you love to see it.

Maybe. 50:57 (N1 8p.m.) Talking with the Business Scrub in the swamp 53:50 (N1 8p.m.) Talking with Tingle's ("our teletubby guy" lmfao) father for the first time 58:22 (N1 10p.m.) Entering the Magic Hags' Potion shop for the first time ! This sends Mapo into theories about the nature of Termina world. 1:02:20 (N1 10p.m.) Talking with the monkey in the Woods of Mystery ! And we find Koume shortly after. 1:05:11 (N1 11p.m.) Mapo has good instincts and goes back to talk to Kotake. :) And we get the bottle ! 1:08:33 (N1 12p.m.) We give the bottle to Koume and right after get the conversation with the monkeys. New objective ! Rescue brother monkey in the palace ! 1:13:18 (N1 12p.m.) Taking the boat tour and getting the pictograph box ! I am so nostalgic for this... The photos are just awful lol. 1:18:49 (N1 2a.m.) This is one of the most unfortunate deaths I've witnessed lol 1:20:49 (N1 2a.m.) Just spotted the owl from a distance ! And immediately taking a picture lol. 1:22:00 (N1 3a.m.) And we're entering the Palace ! With one of the best music in the game. 1:28:40 (N1 4a.m.) After talking to everyone in the Palace and while pondering about the beans, Mapo finds the Heart Piece in Deku Palace ! 1:30:48 (N1 5a.m.) Going on a little tangent and cute reaction to the Deku Scrub's spin ! We also we find the Spider House right after and actually go in ! After a little assessment of the situation, Mapo decides to come back to this when he gets more equipment. 1:34:41 (N1 5a.m.) First meeting with a Dragonfly ! These used to terrify me as a kid. 1:41:50 (D2 9a.m.) Back on track after our little tangent. That's okay Mapo ! 1:45:40 (D2 11a.m.) Making progress ! We're in the hole in the ground where the bean's seller lives ! Yay ! 1:49:47 (D2 11a.m.) Important message from Mapo. Very happy to hear you are enjoying the game ! It's only natural to be frustrated when you've just gone back and forth for nothing because of a little bit of misreading. For us it was only a bit more than 10 minutes of video but for you it was probably much more. Such are the joys and woes of a blind playthrough ! 1:53:42 (D2 12a.m.) And we are starting the fun part of the Deku Palace, Solid Snake style ! (I love you Mapo.) You don't have to 100% the game, but unlike any other Zelda game there is a reward for it. Honestly I highly recommend it. Most Zelda games it's not worth it, but this one it is.

Weird funfact: The 'line of sight' dots in the Deku Palace are only visible at night for some reason, its unclear if this was intentional by the developers or some debug function / 'easter egg' left in the game on release.

I've always assumed it was because the deku guards are pretty difficult to see during the night cycle, when playing on N64. I played that part 2 days ago and even in the day cycle, it's kinda hard to even see which way they're facing, because of how grainy the N64 graphics are :l

Owl Statues are only one-time-use QUICK SAVE, to actually save your progress you need to play the Song of Time and get sent back to day 1.

They still save your progress, so I don't know what you mean by "to actually save". I don't know if you can save by owl multiple times in a single 3-day cycle though, I've never needed to try.

@@VelkanAngelswhat they mean is that owl saves are temporary, if you load an owl save and reset the console you'll be sent back to when you last played the song of time. so song of time saves are more permanent. also, you can owl save as many times as you want in one cycle

I think you've had the funniest reaction to encountering that huge bird near the swamp entrance I've ever seen. Panicked back flips actually worked out quite nicely for you. That shooting gallery man appears to have quite the extended family. They crop up in the strangest places... and I must admit, I had completely forgotten that Tingle was the son of the Pictograph contest man. Small world eh? Speaking of small world, I was laughing so hard when you went back and forth between the Deku Palace and the boat rental. Reading comprehension can be difficult at times ☺ Maybe Koume and Kotake are on a working vacation from being evil hench-withces and surrogate mothers? Ganondorfs Evil Kingdom won't finance itself after all.

Mapo, Majoras Mask is big, bigger than Ocarina, then you have the 3-day mechanic but much like the other time travel game we won't mention, it's all a bigger sum of it's parts and the walls you're encountering are intentional for where you are - you've got this.

Keep at it; the game can be vague, but it does have the info to find everything if you look hard enough (my suggestion is to get ahold of the Mask of Truth, it'll give you all the hints you need in game!)

Before you get MEGA confused in like, 20 episodes, the Scarecrow Song resets on Song of Time. So if you want to use him later on, you have to play him a new song. Also the reason your song wasnt working was cause you forgot the last note, which was ^. Your full Song was, "> > a ^ < a v ^"

I've never noticed the plans for the rocket ship in the bomb shop or the display about the history of tools in the item shop. It's very cool to see this game from a new perspective. The 3DS remake changed the Bomber's Notebook so that you can't see the character's whole schedule unless you've already talked to them during all those specific times. Maybe the information can be found elsewhere but in my opinion they made the notebook worse. Good job escaping from that bird, lol. It's super annoying if it steals your stuff.

If you do a spin attack, just before the ledge, when entering water to skip it as a Deku you get a bunch of momentum and the skips go much farther

If you read the game manual this came with (you can look up the official PDF file of this), it mentions that Link fell into a parallel world that is similar to Hyrule, yet different. The people is said to be "vaguely familiar" to link. This can explain why you're seeing the same characters from OoT, yet they are not quite the same.
