I started crying when they told her to stop but she didn't want to. You could really see how passionate she is. I wish i could be that passionate at something to, like Jiwoon. The will to try doing what i love until my body gives in but still happy about it.

It’s so upsetting to see her tear up because didn’t she stop ballet because of an injury that somewhat traumatized her? She’s such a strong woman to not give up after hurting her ankle. I teared up, too 😢

She broke her pelvis but i think its ok now. She would have been part of a national ballet now, glad she choose her health though

As a former ballerina this is how we are. We fall but we get back up we will not stop even if asked. The show must go on. If there is a will there is a way.

To everyone questioning if she should be en pointe at all: she started ballet as a kid, trained professionally, went to the Royal Ballet School, and danced with Korean National Ballet before moving onto an acting career. She can hardly be more qualified as a ballet dancer. As Joowon (the female judge/coach in the clip) says to Jiwon, she knows her body best as a professional. As an ex-dancer myself, I do find it disturbing, if the whole thing is real, that Jiwon was still allowed to continue turning and jumping on a sprained ankle, though.

I wonder if it was that bad...I mean she could just act that it's fine but I remember when I injured my ankle while dancing and no matter how hard I tried to stand on it I couldn't and when I walked I was limping. I guess she is so strong to act/dance fine while injured.
@Nicole-ue8bx6 жыл бұрын
she had to stop when she had hip problems T^T so it must've been even more heart breaking for her to injure herself again..
@seancrowe33536 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it was a strain not a sprain. If the tendons had been ripped from the bone, she wouldn't be able to dance
@Shejejjenwn_023 жыл бұрын
The thing with ballerinas is that even if they are injured if they can dance then it’s not that bad that’s why when they reach 20 years old they have arthritis and other problems with their feet and body

I wish I was as strong as her. I love dancing with a passion, and I’ve gotten hurt a few times and had to be out for a while. I may have torn my meniscus a few weeks ago so I can’t dance which is a bummer because football season is about to start and I’m on my schools drill team and won’t be able to perform the first game. It’s also sucks because I have to sit there and watch all my friends dance while I can’t

I usually danced through pain after the sprain. The ankle still works before the swelling start to block you from moving your ankles properly. I was able to push through it. I had to tape my ankles and wear the braces on it. It is very difficult but your emotions will become at peak along with your passion. Then after that, I have to put ice quickly. Then go through ankle rehabilitation for a month to strengthen and heal my ankle.

@artismylifeyaaas51857 жыл бұрын
Klynn She is actually trained in ballet for a long time but She stopped dancing for like 8-10 years and she tried to dance again.
@weather95387 жыл бұрын
Art is my life yaaas yes i was addressing her when i said “when you havent trained a while” and addressing others who do not have ballet experience. That still doesnt mean its safe for her to go on pointe. If you watch closely she does not fully go up on her box, stretch her knees and many other things that could injure her. But i guess i cant convince all fans that this i not good nor safe.
@jeanienguyen15436 жыл бұрын
seohyun uhh going from professional, not dancing for years, then practicing again for a show is still not enough for her to gain the same strength back. I'm sure she was pushing herself to do well since she wanted to prove that she still has the skill. and cheng xiao didn't do ballet she did Chinese dance which is similar but definitely still different enough which you can see in her technique. honestly this show is interesting but so dangerous esp when they gave the girls pointe shoes to try on after starting ballet for not that long??
@abbychan512476 жыл бұрын
Actually a professional ballerina will hurt easily that's why they have the physical helper and doctor stand by

Klynn as jiwon they need to practice more harder before the audition , just behind the camera that we don't know and jiwon has over 10 years professional training how can it be improper techniques?

I think for cheng xiao, she thinks that it's usual to fall when dancing. But the thing is that u must stand up really fast n back to the best condition no matter what. U never know how ur teacher will shout at ur for not standing up in less than 1s or even scold u for falling 🙃

She was a professional ballerina, so she has the proper training. She just had to stop bc of a hip injury
@maybelaine75816 жыл бұрын
Her ankles are too weak to go en pointe, she didn’t have enough practice so she wasn’t able to balance en pointe. When you go en pointe typically, you would need YEARS of ballet experience because if injuries that can happen if not. I hope she get better anyways 💕
@mrmrg_6 жыл бұрын
She had 17 years of ballet but stopped due to an injury for about 8 years now so I guess her ankles got too weak because of lack of practice
@emmluma5 жыл бұрын
She should have not been on point in the first place, even dancers who have trained since two have to wait until their at least 10 or 11. Her ankles where strengthened enough and that’s why she fell. Her instructors should know better, and even if she was ready to be on point, the pas de deux is an incredibly difficult part and that’s not made for beginners. Thank you for my ted talk 😂
@cork77875 жыл бұрын
She used to dance for 15/17 years(?) I don't remember until she was 21 y/o. She got injured, broke her hip bone that's why she stopped dancing for 8 years. Maybe start dancing again after all those years make her ankles weak.
