Hearing one of my favourite pieces played on the flute sparked motivation inside of me to keep practicing. No one's gonna see this but I just want to write my thoughts outs haha. Since, covid started i haven't played the flute for over a year (I play in my school's concert band, I am in hs rn) I lost the passion for playing. I started to have thoughts like "Piano is better because I dont have a hard time breathing compared to when I play the flute". Now, looking back at that, what a ridiculous thought! Any instrument is difficult at first! Also another thing is.. I do not have the budget to buy my own flute so I can't really practice on my own when it's summer time. I just depend on the school's band course to play the instrument. To wrap this up, if you have read this far thank u! If ur ever at the stage where ur like.. u wanna quit or give up playing, remember why u started. What were u feeling that time? what made u feel that way? and would like to relive that moment once again? Don't forget where u started.

I think one of the reasons I stopped was because I played it in band for school, and all of a sudden they were making the flutes play an octave higher than necessary and doing insanely fast movements that I couldn’t even do and we’re not enjoyable. Had we played pieces that were actually possible for 15 year old floutists to play, I might have continued with it. This piece makes me want to start playing my flute again for sure.
