Binging on the older videos but had to see the yurt! Looks very homey!

Awww, I'd never considered myself binge-worthy but that's great to hear! 😄 Yeah, the yurt is super homely 🎪🔥 Especially tonight with the rain beating down and the wind howling to get inside 🍃😌

You are amazing Rob! Looking forward to watching more. I'm so inspired getting stuck into my wee small garden this year with my kids, growing as much food as we can! And making wildlife want to come visit us.

Loving that Yurt Rob... You need to post a vid about its inception.. sure to be a subs increaser if you title it correctly. Reckon I'll have a go at the lemon curd but on much smaller scale.. Keep the vids coming they are informative and therapeutic.. The A40 phone camera is providing phenomenal quality considering. Just proves you don't need fancy/expensive equipment to produce good content. I see you are totally sodden there too. Cheers 🍺🍺

Thank you very much, Guy. I knew I should have recorded setting the yurt up! Maybe I can cobble together something from the photographs I took. Yes, a smaller scale would be most prudent as I'm not sure how long it will keep! I've found it really enhances porridge ;-) Yes, I was trying to make a point by filming it on my mobile that you really don't need expensive equitptment to make good videos! I'm glad you agree. Well that and the fact my trusty old Panasonic Lumix won't charge anymore! :-D Yep, it's a proper mud fest here!

@@robsdiscovery Hi Rob. Thank you for the lovely reply.. That really is slim trickle from your ground spring. Ingenious irrigation solution from your water tank. I subscribe also to Maximus Ironthumper channel. He lives off his land and has installed several cheap and clever solutions to subsistence living and low impact. He's worth checking out.. For water, he has a series of IBC tanks 1000 litres each connected in tandem and painted black to prevent formation of algae and pumped via a 12v pump through a ceramic water filter.. Keep your content coming. It's original, informative and highly pertinent to today's human impact on the planet.

Awesome - I would love to grow a lemon tree - got tree collard seeds ordered 👌👍
@robsdiscovery4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Wendy 😊 Do you have a greenhouse? Or any sunny indoor space at all really. They're pretty easy to grow. You can put them outside in the summer, if they're potted, and keep them inside in the winter 😊 Well done, you'll never regret having a collard or two 😋

Had to take greenhouse down as it was falling to bits - got mini one in the meantime and yes, we do have a sunny spot - so it is achievable in the future 👍 keep up the good work 👌

I pretty like this elegant style of videos. Nice shooting of forest garden especially running clouds! Natural voices also make whole video a good atmosphere! If I were you, I would use wood ashes as a painting powder too. The yurt shows a beautiful design that you created a sunroof on the top which means sky can change scenes and colors from day to night, every moments. Beautiful Lemon trees truly!! It's very interesting to see such a good use of lemon skins!

Thank you, Yen. I'm so glad you like the new style of video :-) How do you use wood ash to paint? I've never heard of that.

@@robsdiscovery Just mix powders into water. Grinding different kinds of stones ,dirt or carbon into flour is a way too.

Thanks, Sam 😊 If you look closely, it's not! I'm planning a significant rebuild this year. (Though planning doesn't necessarily mean doing, I've learned! ☺️)

I saw a pheasant is he wild or domestic? and what about birds of prey, do you have a problem with them?
@robsdiscovery4 жыл бұрын
The pheasant is technically wild though they're hand-reared in the woods nearby for shooting so they're all but tame. Birds of prey aren't a problem but the pheasants are! They scratch up everything and keep eating all the berries and duck food! If you chase them off they don't move very far and return as soon as you walk away!
