For many carpers, there is nothing quite like campaign fishing on a syndicate water. A far cry from the hustle and bustle of the day-ticket scene, this style of angling gives the angler the opportunity to work out a water over a period of time, but it isn’t without its challenges, with many syndicates these days extremely busy and the fish very pressured.
Syndicate carping can, indeed, be the ultimate conundrum. The puzzle is right there before you; it just takes a bit of time to put the pieces in the right place, but when you do, it is immensely rewarding.
In this series of films, we follow DNA videographer Vinny Pritchard over the course of the year on his syndicate water, Langholme Lake in North Lincolnshire. Langholme is fast becoming one of the hottest tickets in the North of the country, boasting a stock of big fish to rival any venue in the area.
In the first of the series, we join Vinny as he kicks off his new campaign, following him through February until late spring, as he tries to work out the whereabouts and habits of the carp and a baiting approach that he thinks will set him aside from the other anglers on the lake.
For anyone fishing a syndicate water at the moment, or anyone who plans to join one soon, this is a fantastic insight into Vinny’s mind, as he begins piecing together this particular conundrum.
The first episode will be going live on DNA Digital TV from 7pm on Friday, 12th July, but if you can’t wait until then, you can get early access from 6pm in an exclusive premiere.
