its eugen giving all the german units no veterancy while the pact forces are already experienced, in wgrd, each level of veterancy increases accuracy by 8% and reduces stun chance/time, im not sure about the veterancy stat boosts in warno, but if its anything along the lines of wgrd, then yeah, t-55s are gonna outshoot leo 2s bc eugen logic

@@justit1074the stat boosts arent nearly that drastic. Its mostly about your units keeping their cool so they don’t get stressed as easily and stress reduces faster. Stress reduces accuracy, fire rate, and causes routing in game.

yeah the campaign is horribly balanced and borderline unplayed Mostly because as the german side you lack everything you need for combined arms, and especially against the hard AI, everything from the Pact has max vet. Me and friends actually stopped the campaign as NATO, because it is not winnable without being icnredibly chessy. Add to that the absolutely horrible LOS system and the bad solution for building and you end up with not that much fun.

It's literally just vet units VS not vet units A leopard is not impervious to a T-55 cannon and the T-55 has higher vet crews in this scenario

This video just really shows the weakness of the campaign from the German side. One completely lacks good infantry AT, proper AA, and the Veterancy just makes the NATO side suffer. Add to that the horrible LOS system in citys and it really becomes hard to have fun. In the end, they would do way better by giving the NATO sides proper units. One cannot fight in WARNO with just tanks, unless one is the AI.

3:55 Not sure if this is how to works in WARNO but in red dragon low ranked units stun easier and have lower accuracy. And that leo is the one of the lower ranks. skill issue

In WARNO too veterancy has effects on accuracy and resistance to stress but i gotta say, I played multiple games with my german divisions with the highest vet possible on my leo2A3s and they still lost to T64s and T55s. The West Germans got nerfed to the ground lately

Autoloaders, Low Silhouttes, larger guns, etc. Russian Tanks are kind of epic, NATO tanks have to be used very carefully and sparingly. In this campaign you have to rely heavily on your American Tank Division (which is pretty accurate to what would've happened historically)

@@notapuma russian tanks were and are trash. The T55 had a 100mm gun, the t64 has a 125 and the leos a 120 that should not be enough to make a huge difference in game, also the leo should have a HUGE range advantage which they lost in recent patches

@@ANVILD3VIL You obviously don't understand the implications of a 120mm gun vs a 125mm gun nor that there's more to it than just "a few milimeters" Russian Tanks are also equipped with ERA, and since it's hard to model individual ERA blocks on each individual tank, devs in games usually just give a "healthbar" or a damage resistance effect to said tanks, which allows them to be very "tanky" against chemical rounds until they're not (Red Dragon is a good example) Why should the Leo have a range advantage? It doesn't have a better gun than the T64, it's optics isn't superior, etc. There's no reason to think a leopard is superior to a T64.... unless all your knowledge of tanks is from a certain War Thunder (if you want to play something realistic, try GHPC)

@@notapuma How can you even think a tank developed(by the USSR) in the late 50s/early 60s is better than a tank developed in the early 70s? The fact that german tanks have among the best optics in the world is a well known fact by everyone who opened a book at least once. One more thing all western tanks(with the exception of the brits) have been firing sabot rounds for the past 60 years which ignore the ERA additional armor(wich is efective against chemical rounds)

the problem is, that in the campaign you really dont have what you need to "play the game". Your tansk untis dont have infantry, so you need to combined them with your Panzergens units, but you need those early to cover the flank. the only unit that can really fight by itself is the 11 ACR squadron. ALL the german units are almost unplayable.

@@tizi087 It's pretty dumb how that works. All the units are these cohesive figures on the map. That works for east germany since they were meant to be able to operate independantly. But on the western side Panzergrens are not really meant to ever move without tanks.

Having played the campaign myself the german units definetly feel weaker, the atgms are basically the only good things about them (marders are also decent)

The west german infantry are terrible that’s the one thing. Their rocket arty, Marders, leopards, and Gepards are all really good. A big problem is that the leopard units don’t get any mainline infantry requiring actual panzergrienadiers to be slapped with them all the time to be properly useful They have had a very bad time in this game because they have lost so much through the campaign in terms of units.

@@MrCoolguy425 exactly. only having Panzerfaust 44 basically prevents one from setting up ambushes in woods, as one cannot kill any enemy tank with more than 3 sideshots. and if the tank turns your infantry is dead. The marder would be good, but they need tank support, which one doesnt have until very late in the campaign. And fighting only with marder and Jagaurs jsut wont work out for long. The German units are jsut horrible uneven. Either you have infantry, OR you have tanks. You can only have both by combining them, which you cant do until the campaign is almost over. Then add the higher pact veterancy and youa re doomed to fail.

@@XMysticHerox I mean yeah, but if you engage more numerous cheap tanks in a range where they can actually do damage to you frontally and then stay in the unfavorable engagement, it’s kinda on you, they are going to win by pure mathematics. Eliminating one or two, smoking and then pulling back to regain cohesion is always an option. During one of my first matches I had two T-80BVs destroyed by a group of Leopard-1s even though I was defending and had first shot advantage because I stubbornly refused to pull out of the engagement when it became unfavorable, W. German mechanized infantry then followed and massacred me in the town I was defending.

The early Leopard 2s pre-2A4 had a lot of flaws, which were mostly ironed out with the 2A4. The ones in this video were 2A3s. Sure they should still be able to go toe-to-toe with T-55s (and even be better than), at least some can be explained away.
