Bara, here is what I would do with the S-Hawk: Drop all the bombs and missiles and install the 2 mml15 risc you have then put two tons of srm ammo in and your duel mech is ready. I mean you are getting into territory where it will work best as a duel mech and then you always have one ready for that.

Mounting battlearmor inside a fast moving and well protected unit like a Bandit makes all the difference. The Bandit gets them into position, takes the damage, the BA deals out the punishment. BA heavy rifles in particular are very effective.

In case you weren't aware, if you have a mech in the slot with no pilot, you can click the mech and it'll reorder the barracks by affinity with that mech.

Battlearmor are best inside hovertanks with firing slits, like bandits. In hindsight it might have been a better idea to get those 4 banditparts last mission.

If you have acid for your mortar you should fire it from one of the launchers to weaken their armor for follow up

Thats why at some point, when I have maxed out pilots, I install armored cockpit - it survives even gauss headshot while in the open.

Is a heat mech viable now? Been underimpressed with my crow with 3 clan plasmas and 3 flamers. Fcs flamer. Doesn’t seem to do enough heat to make a difference.

Unlucky. But as You said Yourself , go for the gauss cannons first. And build 1 or 2 for your self. Also , build a large laser build and a Auto Cannon 20 build would be nice.

The game decides to give out random headshots at higher difficulty and since your lethality is 100% you lose.
