Sam Cane was coming in at a low position hinged at the hips. Kolisi was tackled from behind by Taylor and fell into Cane. That’s where mitigation is applied. So a yellow under the laws. Which is still harsh for a contact sport considering no intent and Canes tackle would have been completely legal if not for Taylor dropping Kolisi first. They’ll all be wearing helmets soon.

Thanks, coming from a South African I can categorically tell you that when you hear “ref interpretation” you know it’s a bunch of BS… New Zealand our greatest rivals are an insane bunch of libtard cheats, it’s coached into them and “managing the ref” is the biggest gripe all nations have against them. We as a nation have massive amounts of respect for the rivalry and comradery that exists between us, but don’t be mistaken cheats they are! Many believe the reason Australia has lost so much interest is the way NZ go about interpreting rules and managing refs. Both are VERY anti rugby and whilst NZ continues to coach bending the rules and micro managing the ref they will continue to lose and build up hate. When South Africans called them out 30 years ago it, the world laughed today it’s no longer funny as everyone else also shares the exact sentiment. There exists in NZ rugby a deep seated liberal mindset, it’s nothing new and they are the darlings of RFU because of it. If you ever bother to watch their media pundits it will dawn on you ever so fast. Welcome to the brotherhood of rugby, as a South African I love watching your major league rugby, and hope we can set a competition with you guys. We have many teams not playing in the URC, maybe after 2025 when we give NZ the boot and leave SANZAAR, as NZ as rugby partners is nothing short of a nightmare. They have single handedly destroyed the worlds most viewed competition Super Rugby, at least now South Africans no longer have to fund them…

However, in this case, there was nothing to indicate infringement or malicious intent. Congratulations on becoming a new rugby fan! World rugby is on a high. The Springbok story will bring tears to your eyes, even as a neutral. Respect to both the All Blacks & the Boks. It is the greatest rivalry in the game. Which, of course, brings out a lot of bias. Can remember a time when the ABs dominated for a decade when it was saffas doing all the whining about Richie Mc Caw and the ABs. I'm close to 70 years old and have been an ABs fan all my life. I have a great deal of respect for the Springbok and l've watched 6 and a half decades of both teams clashes without missing a single test between them. I get it... the Bok currently have the ascendancy over the ABs at the moment but realistically there's not much in it is there. We all know that in the past, the Bok have lost games because of marginally unfair refereeing and we all as fans and players seethe about that. Be aware that you can have an opinion about anything in life but knowing that the scoreboard supports (and will go down in history) as a Bok win, doesn't disqualify anyone else from the right to have a different opinion. I'm not responsible for the opinions of my fellow countrymen, and frankly, some of them have the logic and sensibility of a horses arse. Then again, fans from all corners of the world supporting yours and other teams have much in common with them. Remedy... ignore them.

Losing sides and losing coaches tend to blame the refs. But it's normally in the heat of the moment and in replays one usually sees what actually happens. The in-the-air tackle on Pollard was most probably more serious yet no one even mentioned it. Why? It happened when the score was nil nil. At the end, with any side still in a position to win , these calls are common. Nobody likes to lose and AB's have never been sissys on the pitch. SA was however the more polished team and deserved the 2 match wins.

Question is how would the official have retaliated if it was a springbok that was injured.that is where the problem lies.

Who was injured? Not Jordie... Siya Kolisi had his nose and cheeckbone fractured by Sam Cane through head on head contact the weekend before and he wasnt even penalised...

Our ABs is NOT the ABs we've known. They are NO longer the 90-minute team they are the opposite now they are just a good 60 minutes.. ABs passion dies out in the last 40/50min mark.. Razor has got a big mammoth task on hand to turn the team around, If Razor can't do it then show him the door!!

No problem with the tackle, going down he hit is head on his knee, and it is amazing just how much detail is available on camera these days, kudu's to the camera guys. The NZ coach is spot on when he says that the modern game is decided on the slightest of margins, and these margins are growing smaller and smaller all the time. This was an exciting game for sure, both games were edge of your seat stuff for both sides, and had all supporters of both teams in a constant state of pre-heart attack ...💥💔❤‍🔥😮

There very few Tests now that are not decided by the referee. The recent safety laws have reduced rugby to lottery as to who gets the highest score. It is no longer a game of skill, just luck. Boring. Just one step up from the sanctioned Hollywood acting that has plagued soccer reducing from a game of skill into a non entertaining C grade comedy.

I'm a South African and I analyze play in real time. I often pick up infringements on both sides which the ref does not, but which he is referred back to by TMO's. I see nothing wrong with the tackle as one can see no head movement at all. The fall obviously was more of a collision. Ref was correct. Still was an enthralling tight game as always.

Yet it wasn't All Blacks fans and management who came up with justice arm bands and 2 years ago Rassie was banned for attacking refs. But OK.

Nothing there...turning into a sissy game where all contacts are scrutinized. This is a contact sport.

I’m a kiwi. Play on absolutely nothing in it. If we as rugby fans nitpick the hell out of games we will start to sound like crybabies. Refs call. Shout out to my second team go boks

There was nothing in it! If the referee has to look at every little bump you will have more yellow cards and reds cards. This was normal tackle with a knee contact. I have lost all my respect for New Zealand!!!!

ref should have made the medic take the place of the captain and play the rest of the game.
