I just got one of these and it has quickly become one of my favorites in my collection. It is very lightweight. Very comfortable on the wrist. And I cannot say enough about the micro adjustments on the clasp and how simple they are to use. I am a bit on the chunky side so my wrist tends to shrink and swell a bit depending on what the weather is doing at the moment. And I am a fan the green. I am not one that really cares about trends. I like the look of the kind of brighter green against the gray of the titanium. One thing not mentioned was the lume. It is bright and the bezel has lume as well. I absolutely love this watch and would definitely recommend that if you are in the market for a watch, go and try one of these on. And I had a great experience in the Tag boutique in Dallas. The salesperson was friendly and really knew his stuff.

You would LOVE the pelagos. I am actually about to pick this watch up. I work in the OR and go from 65 degrees to 80-100 degrees all day since I’m in Florida. I like a micro adjustment that I can operate without taking the watch off and I love lightweight. My pelagos is with Tudor right now for what will end up being 5 months knowing them so I need something else that meets these requirements.

@@floridaman727 I definitely have my eye on the Pelagos (and I appreciate the recommendation). My AD never seems to have one when I am ready to pull the trigger on one. Hopefully that will change soon and hopefully Tudor will surprise you with their speediness on getting yours back to you. I think you’ll really like this one. Cheers!

Wish Tag Heuer will invest in the movement…. I like the Aquaracer but the plastic parts inside the movement kills it for me

I wish TH would make an in-house 3-hand movement to put in all these watches. Their in-house chrono aren’t bad (not particular great either compared to a speedy or el Primero) and if they could make a 3-hand movement with the same level of quality, these watches would for sure be worth the $2000+ asking price.

Hello Hola comments from Argentina about the watch. Isaw it the other day at the store here and thought it was a beautiful piece. I love the green trend maybe a little more harsh to combine the clothing with it than the tipical blue or black but is a different charm that green has. I'm not huge fan of Tag Heuer besides The Monaco that I am off course but they are excellent watches the only thing is that Rolex Marketing is so huge than anything else is seeing as low quality but they look as well constructed pieces for sure. Thanks for the video I enjoy it. Be Good Nicolas

Tag did a great job with this one. The bracelet is comparative to the Seamaster/submariner, the date magnifier on the INSIDE of the sapphire is just wonderful, can’t believe no one else is doing that, and the dial and bezel both look interesting while having that Aquaracer heritage in their design. The biggest downside is the garbage movement, I have a Carrera Calibre 5 (why are we even calling it that, it’s an ETA) and it’s unbelievably disgusting and hard to wind, and it’s always not running due to the low power reserve. Back before I could afford a Seamaster I was seriously considering an Aquaracer, but I couldn’t justify spending that much money (~$1700 Jomashop) on something that offers so little. Now having a Seamaster, I still wouldn’t go back and get this new Aquaracer, BUT if this came out a few year sooner, I might have pulled the trigger on this new Aquaracer (assuming the same price)

I love this watch, but my wallet was almost empty and my bank said HELL NO!!!, so i ended up with an 43 mm Certina DS Action diver in titanium.. Not a bad "replacement" With 80 hr power reserve and ceramic bezel. €1100 not bad for an ISO 6425 watch.
@theoverlord19253 жыл бұрын
Love the fact that it’s in titanium, however they could have made it more special and used a higher grade than “ grade 2 “ titanium which is cheaper, softer and scratches much easily than a higher grade of titanium. Love the clasp , great effort fromTag Heuer. I would have preferred this titanium version in blue as when you think “ Aquaracer” which literally translated means “ water racer” you think of water, hence blue. I would have kept the green in steel and this in blue or at least offer the titanium version in blue and green. The biggest let down in my opinion is the outdated Calibre 5 which is basically and ETA 2824 that you can find in watches costing around $ 700; this one is over six grand. That’s a bit of laziness and greed from Tag Heuer. With Tudor, Breitling Omega , and now even Oris developing in house movements; Oris ‘ s movement has 120 hours of power reserve! This is way overpriced for what you get as the movement is an essential component of the watch . I also prefer normal “ round “ hour markers versus these I think the shape flows better and is visually more appealing but that’s a matter of personal preference I guess. If they made this in blue, with a better movement I might consider it even if it’s in grade two titanium. As it stands with the “ Calibre 5” I have to say : Sorry mes amis, pas pour moi.This might appeal to the inexperienced watch person; but for experienced / savvy watch enthusiasts , they will see right through the shortcuts Tag Heuer has taken and will not want to feel like they are getting ripped off. Just to put it into perspective a Seiko “ Shogun “ which has similar size specs and weighs around 100 grams so feather light, costs around $1600. If you pay another $300 extra and get the ratcheting type clasp used on the Seiko Tuna titanium to get a “ on the fly “ micro adjust clasp and fit it on the Shogun that will be a total of $1900. The Seiko automatic 6R15 movement is perfectly fine, 200m water resistance , very nice dial and wrist presence , applied markers ; the only big difference is it has a Hardlex crystal which is not Sapphire, but works fine as I have not had a scratch on it yet after two years of usage. You could always fit a sapphire crystal if you really wanted one for a few hundred dollars , but there is really no need . As a daily wear/ beater its fantastic , comfortable and costs four grand less. I can now take that four grand and put it towards a Swiss timepiece that will hold value. If you went to sell this Aquaracer you’ d be lucky to get $1500 for it. That’s 75 % depreciation, ouch.

Absolutely agree, especially with your caliber point of view.

I read up to the point where you said “this watch is over six grand” and then had a stroke. The old aquaracer is like a $1700-1800 watch (Jomashop/out the door discount), I’m not sure what the new SS version is going for, I’d imagine very similar, but you’re telling me they’re charging an additional *4 grand* aka another 2 aqua racers for the titanium version???
