You always say that going into defense means you are losing. But going defense here actually won the game.

Or polychampions channel always says that. And I dont understand why. Defense is much cheaper than offense, thus leading you to win.

It wasn't going full on defense. Regular oumaji player made better choices, built up his economy and took over the sea. Going defense might sometimes win you a game but in most cases you'll lose.
