The Tall Ships Race (Antwerp - Lisbon) - Life aboard the Christian Radich

As an 18-year-old sailing fanatic I always was fascinated by old tall ships. However, I always thought that the traditional tall ships weren't active anymore. This was due to the fact that the sailing sport and especially tall ships aren't covered in mainstream media as much as other sports. When I saw local news that the Tall Ships Race was coming to Antwerp. I was immediately excited and I subscribed to the Sail Training International program and Windseeker. I searched for sponsors and I was assigned to the Norwegian Tall Ship: the Christian Radich.
A group of multiple languages, cultures, and beliefs; a group with similar goals: have fun, exchange experiences and be a worthy competitor in the race. It took us 9 days from Antwerp to Lisbon and we finished 4th in the overall ranking.
It was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone.
