He’s always been a great singer, but his voice has definitely matured and gotten more powerful. One of the best singers, songwriters, guitarists of our time.

I said that same thing 8 years ago, and stuck to it. 6 months later I met a girl who went to the same festival and now I am lucky she calls me her husband.

Was skeptical about the band after hearing "Dark Bird Is Home." This sounds really good though. Looking forward to catching him with the band!!!

He's so much better as a solo act.
@LarryWolf19198 жыл бұрын
+Ethan Parker They said the same thing about Dylan.
@c.jarmstrong31118 жыл бұрын
+Ethan Parker he wanted the change, can't blame him. It's his first album playing with a band, and he still plays lots of solo songs in his shows.
@samiamJack8 жыл бұрын
He's talked about how miserable going on tour alone is so you can't really blame him. He still plays probably half of each show solo
@Umuliuz8 жыл бұрын
Possibly. I think the band sound good though. A suitable choice of instruments for his music.
@c.jarmstrong31118 жыл бұрын
in general, musicians just need to transition into new sounds and try new things, despite fans wanting them to stay stagnant. It can be hard for non musicians to understand. but sometimes you just have to change your style or sound to stay motivated and inspired
@connorzito62007 жыл бұрын
Anyone know what pedal/effect he is using on the first song?
@MaxCROZON7 жыл бұрын
sounds like a slapback echo. And the guitar is not in tune.
@kylemckean30697 жыл бұрын
it's in tune, he's using a vibrato pedal to get that effect. kinda like a warped vinyl.
@FagMgee7 жыл бұрын
nope. the high E string is tuned down to a D
@kylemckean30697 жыл бұрын
right, i mean the guitar itself in a different tuning, but it's not "out of tune", the pedal just gives it that effect.

I'm a huge fan but this audio track is awful. Looks like a legit video production, why couldn't they get a high quality track?
@roelhoremans58874 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a pity since this edition of the BKS festival was magical with pretty good live sound. Alt-J and Belgian with the light show, and Belgian band Balthazar, next to the pond. One of the most fun weekends ever. 🎉
@neeltheother23424 жыл бұрын
I love the wild hunt, don't get me wrong, but the addition of the backing band kinda kills the song as opposed to just solo guitar.
@jake61328 жыл бұрын
"Timothy" doesn't sound nearly as good as on the album.
@samiamJack8 жыл бұрын
I couldn't disagree more, I love the rawness and sound from the live version that turns an otherwise average song into one of my favorites.
@jake61328 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. For me it's just hard to part with the cello in this version. Not a fan of the sax.
@jake61328 жыл бұрын
The cello in the album version*
@locoattack12105 жыл бұрын
Why would you put a band over "The Wild Hunt"? Completely ruins the personal feel of the song imo.

All I hear are people talking non-stop. Someone please explain to me why people go to shows only to yak yak yak and not listen.
