your honesty and rawness is what makes you the "beauty in the dirt" or whatever you said. Your painful experiences fuel your writing to discover yourself, and through that comes self-revelation and self-acceptance. Know that you are enough. As for your music, well WOWSERS it is beyond enough.

I was first exposed to your music almost a decade ago while traveling through Ecuador. Hearing your voice and the guitar in the Andes mountains seemed surreal. I fell in love with what you do and continue to seek refuge in the work that you so graciously deliver to your audience. From watching these videos, you speak on human connection and sharing love from being to being...I believe in these principles as well and ponder on the question of “if you could sit down and have a conversation with one of your idols, who would they be”? And I honestly feel your delicatessen in your words and your true sense of self and I would love to take a walk in nature and talk about all things wondrous with you for a morning or evening. I have very few friends that I share intimate conversation with, ranging from philosophy, spiritual, emotional etc...and a friend like you, even for a day, would be a gift. Anyways, thank you for what you do. I feel your introverted ways. You are confronting them in an amazing way. Take care and know your work touches individuals lives such as mine.

I recently started thinking the best way to gain self acceptance is just by helping each others out. We think we're supposed to be autonomous when we clearly can't. Maybe the shortest route to happiness is just being there for other lost souls... Your songs have really helped me finding beauty again. Sending love from the other side of the planet!

I don’t know. I think we do need more songs about loss and heartbreak, because that shit’s important. It’s crucial to find importance and value in yourself and in your own growth, but I also believe that life is inherently about other people. People with whom to share your life, your thoughts, your love, your ideas, your laughter, and your loss. And I think that maybe this song is important just because it came out of you as easily as it did. I’ve had that feeling before too and it’s miraculous. Like stepping into the sun.

In a place where is so easy to slide into not feeling enough, is so freeing to have reminders like this to remember that all that is bullshit and feeling complete or not depends on what is coming from within. And i think that when someone feels whole is when that person can trully give value to others, like a pure light without filters that shines without hesitation

Came across this song by accident due to looking for another one I haven’t yet seemed to find, interestingly though tallest man on earth and his music has incidentally and unintentionally marked some poignant moments in my life, albeit in a peculiar kind of way. This time however listening to this song I scrolled through the comments reading them and then came to think how each and every comment had a name and a picture, all these people from around the globe with different lives, stories and experiences, but I was moved by the thought that each person, each picture and name was once a new born baby, all those amazing moments being brought into the world for the first time, and all of which ended up here enjoying this one song 🌿. I have absolutely no idea why that came into my head but I’m glad it did.

I have no way of knowing if these words and your eyes will ever cross paths, but I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that your music has meant so much to me throughout the years. From the upbeat to the melancholy, I've loved it all and I've always admired how genuine you were. A lot of people who make beautiful art know they make beautiful art and it changes the way they think about that art. It changes from coming from an organic place to one that's meant to be thought of as beautiful. It becomes crafted, calculated, intentional. The best art, in my opinion, is none of those things. It just kind of happens. Your words on heartbreak - namely the self exploration and self rediscovery that follows it ring extremely true. I've got my ticket to see you in Virginia in May and I'm looking forward to it more than I have looked forward to something in a long time.

Since you first released "In Little Fires" from The Light in Demo series I have cherished every single video that you've put out. Both the music and the visuals are breathtaking, inspiring and so necessary. I wanted to ask you about your setup when recording these videos. What camera do you use and do you use any other gear? Thank you again for your beautiful music and soul, and hope you get to read and respond to this comment! Many Blessings!

It's easy to get lost in our own mistakes. I've found that to be the root of mistreatment of ourselves. If we can learn to accept our own mistakes we could be happier with ourselves and find it easier to love ourselves. And it's easier to find peace. I hope this finds itself in the hands of a wonderer.

Kristian (I don't know if you run this channel personally), you are a big inspiration for me as a novice songwriter. Do you have any tips on self-publishing music? I have so many songs that I want to record, and I don't know if I should even bother trying to get the attention of a record label. I intend to record with just myself and my guitar, so it would be fairly easy to do. Thanks for staying true to your music, Avery

I just watched this video after seeing you in concert in Fort Collins this past Friday. I will just say this - you are one of the most authentic and talented performers I've ever had the privilege to see. Your show was more than worth the trip from Canada. This song is raw, honest and beautiful. Heartbreak can make you feel like your entire life is one big thunderstorm - you just have to let all of those thoughts and emotions rip out, even if it's to an inanimate object with a lens and a metal heart. We're here to listen. But remember, the clouds will eventually clear, the sun will start to shine, and the birds will sing with you. :-)

Love you man, always will. You are a true inspiration for me. Thank you for all you've done. One of my favorite creations of yours was the ending of "Dark Bird Is Home". Please make something based around and similar to that.

How pleasant it was to notice the sun coming into the room at the end of the video and then in the same instant, you do as well and leave to step into it. I'm glad as an artist you notice the little things and take time to break down details of your process. I'm finding myself connecting to these new songs just by hearing how they appeared in your life. Your raw sound is perfect in its imperfections to me and the heartbreak you portray is so heart-wrenching and relatable. What you also show is that no matter how broken or deep into the hurt we can get, there is always a glimmer, a ray, a sign of hope to keep moving. A lot of us need these songs to see that and for that I hope you keep sharing with us and show the introverts of the world what can happen when they share what's behind those doors. It's so important and a great reminder of what can come of stepping beyond our comfort zones. Thank you so so much.
