On-road performance is arguably more important for a vehicle like this (and the Wrangler really) since the vast majority of the people who buy these off-road styled SUV (like this, Bronco, Wrangler, etc) never take them off road. They buy something that drives like a tractor just for the look.

Tank 300 has a specific city-friendly version in their lineup. Difference from Off-road version is the suspension tuning, better NVH, and different drivetrain (Offroad version is a part-time 4wd, City version has the borg warner all wheel drive system with center diff lock)

Hows the fuel consumption in city or highway drive? Another thing, would like to ask does the Tank 300 Hybrid is already release in your market? II live in Australua. 've had the Tank 300 petrol ultra for a year now, It's one of the best cars I've ever driven. The downside is the fuel consumption and the ELK keeps turning on everytime I get into the car (which I understand is a feautre in all new cars). The indicator stock can be annoying at first but you get a feel for it after while. With regards to quality my right rear tyre pressure keeps decreasing slightly faster than the other tyres. Not sure if it's a GWM thing or a tyre thing, haven't had time tot get it checked out as I live in remote WA. Early on I had some rocks lodged from trucks crack the top surface of my windshiled. Had it replaced with RAC. As for everything else it's been perfect. I've done over 15K and most of it is long distance on crappy country roads with some city driving and beach dune off roading. It's extremely smooth, extremely comfortable and enjoy getting in everytime. It's my meditation machine. Happy with my purchase so far. Will update this comment in another year.

Jeep Commander 2006 - 2010 did this successfully but failed to provide bigger tires and the 2 inch lift that many owners did [including me] which transformed [improved] the looks hugely. The Tank reminds me a lot of the Commander that should've had a proper future if the Fiat bosses didn't axe it when they took control of Chrysler.

yes, thre's a bronco sport which launched earlier, but tank300 doesnt really looks like it, u may say slightly looks alike, but bronco sure like is "almost" looks the same to tank300 if the head light middle strike towards outside, even the side body also looks similar to tank300, same as the tail & tail light, while tank300 sidebody doesnt looks like bronco sport.
