The TASTIEST Breakfast In Đà Lạt: Bánh Căn | Iconic Street Foods Of Đà Lạt

First one of the ultimate street foods you can eat in Da Lat, Banh Can. A rice flour batter cooked up over a claypot stove and then topped with an egg how you like it. Then the main part of this meal, when the steaming hot Banh can are delivered to your table, you then dip them in your flavor packed sauce. A mixture of mam nem, fried scallions, mango, chili, and more. An absolute explosion of flavor and one of my favorite meals in Da Lat at a small locals stall.
Next, we had to head to the market for me to look for some nuts. I didn’t find my nuts, but a lady sure did win me over when she let me sample the bap ran.
After the market, we headed to another must eat dish in Da lat, the Banh Uot Long Ga. A dish of rice sheets, Da Lat’s famous chicken, herbs, spices, and more all tossed in a bowl. We went to one of the most well known spots in Da Lat and well known for good reason. This banh Uot Long Ga was packed with flavor, yet was light enough that I felt like I could eat it every single day.
Finally, you can’t talk about Da Lat without mentioning avocado. This time I had my avocado in the form of Kem Bơ. An avocado smoothie topped with some coconut ice cream. While this place may have not been my favorite, this is definitely a treat that will make you feel like a child.

"trứng lòng đào" is the word you want to use anytime you want to request gooey omelet like for fried, boil or any type of cooked eggs.... trứng = egg/ lòng = inside/ đào = rosey, pink, red, silk, cheery blossoms

I'm so jelly. I havent been to Da Lat since mid June of 2019 when I got married. The little stall just past the Loteria in the market place by the lake has the best xiu mai but you have to get up really early to get some before they sell out. I'd always stay at the hotel Hoang Hau, near Da Lat Palace, and walk everywhere to eat and do shopping. The market place at night is packed but so fun. The tours that take up most of the day are cheap and fun also.

Oh, man, that first breakfast you had looked amazingly delicious! That dip looks like it's got all the right combinations to make it a perfect! Banh can is sort of like the egg version of banh khot to me, but the dip is what takes it over the top yum.

You feel hot when your body temperature is lower than the outside, and you feel cold or cool when your body temperature is higher than the outside. This fun fact, to my knowledge, not everyone is aware of, even my colleagues who are very educated. This is the reason why folks from central VN have been eating hot, spicy peppers to beat the heat (not that they are aware of the benefits of capsaicin) due to hot climate. I have to give credits to Max. I, myself, love these hot, red, peppers. Have not tried Carolina reaper yet but I will.
