Love the options but I'm still sticking with my sapwood Koa model.

What a fun line! I can see myself playing any one of these. I have a couple of them and they’re my go-to for outings or if I just want to try something new. Thanks for a great demo!

It is the cost of the rest of the Taylor line, that drives the sales of the GS Mini. People are motivated by the Taylor name, more than the sound of the instrument on the GS Mini. Either that, or they will go for the Baby, just to buy into the Taylor brand. Entry level instruments sound like what they are, regardless of the name on the headstock. Over charging for the regular lines, drives the increased sales of the entry level instruments. Taylor guitars are well made precision instruments regardless of cost or materials.

I agree. I bought a new Taylor every year when I was working, but now that I am retired I find it very hard justifying the high prices for the models I want. The $3K guitar essentially shut me out of the new guitar market.

Have you played a GS mini?
@barrycole21 күн бұрын
@@keestoft250 Of course, many models from many makers. At one point, my stable was around 30 instruments. I been in this since`68 .

What are those cheap looking streaky boards? Are they rosewood or ebony? What ever they are they look like they were left out in the rain and have suffered water damage.

Instead of making them pretty, I'd suggest they widen the nut and allow for more string space. I can't play mine anymore because it makes my fingers sore. A tip to the good people at Taylor: stop with the counterintuitive moves.

Like 9 billion gs mini owners think they are pretty good.
@janmichaeljablonsky984725 күн бұрын
@@MatthewPeskay Indeed, they should continue constructing it as they have been these many years, but there are also millions of people like myself who request a little more room for our cramped digits. The two guitars could certainly coexist.

I agree with you. I was in a guitar store today, and ran into three other gentleman and the four of us compared so many guitars, just because we could. Yes, the GS mini is an excellent guitar, for what it is, but I’d rather have function over art. I’d buy another GS mini if it was 1-3/4 nut. Thank you .

i think they are not mean for that purpose, they might also be an option for kids, woman or people with thinner smaller hands. I have much smaller hands than my brother and for me, it’s one of my favorite guitars, for him, it sucks. If you want something bigger or with wider neck, tons of options not only from Taylor.

Not everyone can make a GS Mini sound like that. Just sayin.

You're so right, the CSF3M is the far more comfortable instrument to play, at least for my slightly large mitts. I also like the tone of the Yamaha.
