I have a question🙂 Is there a more accurate translation for honoponopono then I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you , I love you? Your sharing is so beautiful. And I know you say that I'm sorry it's not quite accurate

Aunty Mahealani has passed since this interview so I can't speak for her directly, but what stuck with me from the interview with her is: "Making right more right." A wonderful question and definitely one worth chewing over with the subtleties of its meaning.

Thank you so much for this monolog. It's wonderful that people like you exist and that you share the truth. My question is - if there is no "I'm sorry" in Hawaian, then what expression is used in ho'oponopono? Thank you.

Thank you @alexandernite4488 - dear Aunty has passed so she can't answer here, but Ho'oponopono in my understanding means "Making right, more right." I'm not entirely sure what your question is referring to, but I hope this helps. Big thanks!

Thank you for your prompt reply. There are 4 sentences in ho'oponopono. One of them (I think the first one) is "I'm sorry". Your Aunty said that there is no "I'm sorry" in Hawaian. What sentence /meaning is used as a first sentence than?

@@dundeetherapy Great question! I'm definitely not an expert by any means, but my understanding is that this may be just one translation of the word, and I think she was mentioning all this probably for this reason - that this might be a mistranslation from an outside perspective/influence. La'akea Rumsey @mahealani23k will have more of the answers for this. Love the question and big thanks!

@@UnreelFilms Thank you once again. I find it fascinating that many so called "primitive languages" are actually far more advanced and deeper than all modern languages put together. For example I learned that North American Indians don't have such word as "mine". All things are for sharing and belong to everyone, there's no need for individuals to own anything. Actually same principle applies to Gaelic in Scotland. I find it really beautiful. Thank you for your work and your kind answers.
