Thank you. I stopped piano lessons when I was at grade 8 RCM. And now 60 years later I have started playing again, it helps with the arthritis in my hands. But I have forgotten so much that it has been frustrating. This, and other tutorials of yours have greatly assisted me. Again thank you.

Thank you for this. I just tried it, and will do it daily. My favourite part of the video was around 5:25; that was some amazing left hand work!

Thanks so much for a good video! I liked your point of relaxing your shoulders and elbows and wrists. For the piano accordion dynamics are controlled only by the bellows movement. When I sit at my keyboard I realize I have zero control over dynamics! Which is fine. I will take it slowly and practice bit by bit. Thank you so much for touching on arm weight! ❤ have a lovely day chica. You rock 🤘🏾

After watching your videos, I can't resist going to my piano and practicing what I have just learned. Arm weight will be what I am going to remember during today's practice. Thank you so much for sharing your valuable piano knowledge regularly free! 🎉

Thank you for sharing this very useful technical tip! Before I incorporated it, I was playing the left hand in some Chopin Nocturnes too loudly. Now, however, the dynamic is just right, which has allowed me to voice the right hand easily. THANK YOU!

Sigh. I have a FURS Syndrome on the right shoulder, and a chronic tendonitis of the Long Head of the Biceps on the left shoulder. You are correct that the shoulder should be relaxed to allow the proper shoulder movement. I tried these exercises with my Level One John Thompson Method Book, and had to quit. My teacher understands and is helping me adapt with finger control. I spend decades treating patients, and learned specific techniques for the shoulder girdle, and have developed strength in my hands that has surprised more than one Orthopoedist. BTW I did a video with exercises for the low back, as well as treatment techniques and exercises for the shoulder, arm and hand. Oh My Aching Bach.

Sure, you can use arms in the US to get a louder sound, but here in Europe we aren’t allowed to carry arms or fire weapons in public.
