I had no idea what this film was about really before watching it. What a little gem. I am a musician and really enjoyed it, great music, great story, and great acting. I didn't recognise any of the actors/actresses, but they all put in a great performance. A great heart warming story. And it will make you laugh, and get emotional in places as well.

I accidentally came into this video but watched all the way to the end. The story was well predictable without any surprise, maybe one could call it lame, but it was a whole different, music focused movie without any nasty commercial, unnecessary scenes, from other major teenager movies. I love how so many music videos were put into the movie. This is how a music focused, zero to hero movies should look like.

Wow! This movie is so deep! Really hits you on many levels. Excellent music and acting. I'm a musician and been in a band for over 20yrs and I have felt every insecurity and the highs and lows depicted in this movie and can tell you that the performances by all were "SPOT ON". Loved the "Girl In The Wardrobe" sequence! So much imagination involved! I was in tears when he gave Tom his sons owl!

I don't know about that statement I effortlessly foreshadowed most of it utilized basic literature from beginning to finish with the same basic plot structure that you would encounter in any movie don't get me mistaken it was a relatively ok film but as a guitarist, I couldn't stand the fact that he was playing chords and different chords and riffs where being played. the antagonist harbored a pretty basic personality and character traits and overall it would have been nice to see the motivation behind why he was dick like perhaps a glimpse into his home life. The protagonist had a bit more character traits but lacked a back story and the movie didn't reveal any of his past he appeared to cut himself in the film but we accumulated no real inside on why or the first time he did this I believe this is an inferior job on the creators part. this movie would have been a masterpiece if the plot was deepened and we saw more into the characters' lives.

Past that, all we acquire in terms of information is what we're provided by the events of the story, whether that be the divorce, or the self-harm and furthermore the aggressive attitude the protagonist displays at home and at school. He's emotionally and socially challenged which is what provides this sensation of relatability, whilst intertwining a sense of awkwardness within the film. I would not call this film a masterpiece, but it was a lovely time and by no means bad, it's easy to follow and provides a perspective on certain life experiences. But to each their own, everyone is subject to their own opinions and must come to their own conclusions. (your grammar and wording could use some help, but that's oki)
