Watching the Owens family is such a joy. There's a real family cohesion and not just because their rural geographical location forces it on them, I'm sure they'd be just the same wherever they lived. Naturally there'll be the typical sibling squabbles but they all come together when it counts. I hope they don't call it quits on being filmed any time soon. We're already 2 years ahead of this particular montage, Reuben is coming up to 17 and Raven, the eldest, is at university now, but there's still the younger children to follow. ' Our Yorkshire Farm ' is compulsive viewing.

I remember my father in his shed making things and my mother in her allotment and green house. I do a lot of DIY (am female but that does not stop us women) and was delighted to plant peas with my grandchildren on Sunday - after over 3 moths of lockdown 3 they are now allowed in the garden here in England - appalling restrictions on our rights and freedoms.
