The TEF 6686 Radio

I have purchased a TEF6686 radio from Aliexpress. It is reputed to be a very good performer on VHF FM. It also covers LW,MW and SW. Is it any good on the lower bands? Lets take a look at it and go through its functions and specifications.

The first 2 weeks this radio worked like a charm. Then suddenly it quit picking up stations altogether. It appears to be an issue with the antenna port. The antenna doesn’t screw all the way down due to two screws in the way.

Sometimes antenna cable is faulty. I had to change mine.

I just purchased this very unit, and I know it a beauty….but seriously, with all the bells and whistles that come with it, is there an online manual “for dummies”?

Do u know how to connect to wifi i have the blue one with the double speaker latest version havnt a clue how to set it for wifi know instructions came with it .

I haven't done anything with this radio yet other than stright receiving. I am not sure why you would need to connect it to Wifi?

@@KevinOReillyswl jm under the impression I can't listen to usb or lsb unless I do this because when I'm listening to the ham bands they sound like the chipmunks...but I'm inexperienced in radios hav been messing around with them about a year so its still very much a learning process for me .

Somehow i managed to rotate my screen. Has anyone diacovered how this occurs or how i can rotate back again?

Thanks for the advice. I wanted to show the details of the radio screen etc and this would have been difficult at any distance.
