I genuinely love this episode. I know that when you think about it too hard there are a few plot holes in the whole timey-wimey-ness, but honestly, I can forgo the plot holes in a story so long as it entertains me enough, and this story is very entertaining and engaging. I usually have a problem with plot holes in other Moffat stories because the story relies so heavily on how clever it looks by making things connect, but when it doesn't, then it falls a bit flat. This story however has a more central focus on fun and being a cool heist which is why I enjoy it so much.

@@TheAkashicTraveller It wouldn't. The skull would just sit there, not caving in, the inside of your mind is somewhat hallow which allows the brain to move around. That is why moving your head back and forth quickly is so uncomfortable, you are literally beating your brain on the inside of your skull. Liquefying it wouldn't do anything visible to the skull as it would still be solid bone and retain its shape.

Anyone else see a ton of flaws with this? 1. Detecting guilt only works for those that feel guilty. So, if you're immoral, psychologically damaged, on drugs, etc. The monster can't get you. 2. Guilt doesn't equal crime. What if ate his friends froyo? Bumped into someone? Kicked trashcan by mistake? 3. Next of kin has no reason to be punished for a crime the prosecution doesn't know about. Sentences require an offense. 4. The guy's head wouldn't cave in. He's got a skull and a brain is already floating in liquid, so it wouldn't leak out either.
