This is the Caedmon recording made in the '60's. It features Sir Michael Redgrave as Prospero, his daughter Vanessa as Ariel, Anna Massey as Miranda, Hugh Griffith as Caliban and young John Hurt as Ferdinand- before an alien gave him a tummy-ache. I haven't heard this for ages and had been searching for it. Thanks so much for posting!

Sounds like Anna Massey as Miranda. Prospero is played by Ralph Richardson or Michael Redgrave; I'm not sure which. I'm inclined to go with Richardson. Shame on the BBC for not keeping this great production available. But I'll bet you a pound to a penny, it's Anna Massey as Miranda.
