It's become a staple of 1950's/1960's Do-Wop music & is often used to set the time a specific TV show/film is set in. The only other associated 'Temptations' version of the song was in the 1998 film 'The Temptations' but again, it was just the actors in the roles as opposed to the actual Temptations singing it.
