What I remember fondly about Sonja is that, as she held Rudy's name up to the camera in the voting booth, she said what she would miss most about him. If she'd done that for every vote moving forward (assuming she'd lasted longer, of course) this might well be a kinder and gentler game.

Technically it's Tina Wesson, who went from first boot in All Stars to the final jury member in Blood vs. Water. Also, Fairplay did the reverse of this, going from the final jury member in Pearl Islands to the first person voted out in Micronesia. Reem is the first first boot to be a jury member in a single season, though, and bro, you can't like even compete with that, dude.

This is why I want a season with pre merge vote outs. Not just first boots but even those who didn’t even make it to day 12. There are plenty who got voted out early because they were threatening. If Wentworth can make history, going from day 13 to final 4. Imagine what someone like Fransesqua can do with no Philip Shephard, Imagine what someone as strong as Reem can accomplish Imagine what a season like that would entail. Also, I was expecting Michelle from Gabon to be on here. She was strong, she was cool, she even ate a termite.

I'm late for this video but these first boots I would like to see come back for a second chance: Ryan (6): Was blamed for Daniel's shitty challenge performance and he seemed pretty devious and cool tbh. Nicole (7): She had huge potential; she tried to blindside Tijuana! I think she would've been a good player. Brook (9): He did nothing wrong and was only targeted for being one of the young guys. Wanda (10): She was very energetic and seemed like such a fun, loveable character. I didn't include Jonathan as apparently he was very arrogant off camera. Tina (12): Her circumstances with her son was so devastating and she seemed like such a strong, likeable person. She would've done better in any other season. Chicken (15): He would've been such a colourful character. He just needed to be himself more instead of hiding himself and his input from his tribe. Michelle (17): She had potential to be a snarky villain and she was one of the strongest members of her tribe. She was also one of very few Gabon players with actual common sense too. Marisa (19): So painfully robbed in Samoa. She had so much potential to be such a great player and a great potential villain too (she made a confessional about wanting to warm her way into players' hearts and slitting their throats afterwards. Vicious!). She legit would've gone further any other season. Wendy (21): She had potential to do well. She just needed to be herself. I feel like she would've had a much better social game. Kourtney (24): Her early evacuation was so crushing and she seemed like such an interesting player. I think she would've been one of the smarter chicks of the season had she'd lasted longer. Zane (25): He absolutely MADE the premier of Philippines and was super entertaining. All he needed to do was tone down his 3D chess approach to the game lmao. Nadiya (29): She had potential. She legit did nothing wrong and was only targeted for her cutthroat gameplay on the amazing race. She could've played a great game like her twin sister. So (30): One of very few likeable and good players of the season who had SO much potential and was so robbed. Had she lasted longer she would've been a great player and such an AWESOME villain. Darnell (32): Literally was targeted for dropping goggles in the ocean in a challenge ffs. He was strong and was likeable. He would've done well had Scot/Jason not been dicks and lead his voteout. Katrina (35): Legit only targeted for being an older woman. What makes her voteoff sad is the fact that she had been applying since Borneo. She was completely shafted edit-wise and she seemed nice. I would want to see her again so I could see how she would actually play. Gonzalez (36): She had potential to be a pretty interesting player and villain. Apparently she knew she was going home and the whispering at tribal was a last-ditch effort, so that tells me she went down fighting and could've been a scrappy player who wouldn't give up. Pat (37): His evacuation was so crushing and the fact that it was out of his control makes it more devastating. He apparently had an alliance of 7 targeting Nick so it would've been super interesting to see how he would've played. I hope he gets a second chance guy truly deserves it same with Kourtney who was also evacuated. Reem (38): I mean...do I really need to explain this icon? Sorry this is such a long post I had A LOT to say lmao.

I do feel bad for Debb from Australia. Sonja from Season 1 had the benefit of being on one of the lower-rated first episodes, but by the time S2:E1 rolled around, Survivor was a juggernaut, CBS put it on after the Super Bowl, and millions upon millions saw her get axed, opening her up to way more ridicule, on top of the revelation that she was to marry her stepson, which basically killed her spirit in the real world. By the time the reunion rolled around, she was a shell.
