Eve has some AMAZING spaceships or starships, some are absolutely gorgeous, others scary looking, and a few are hilariously ugly!

I dont mind asymmetry, but more specifically I just hate how randomly placed the thrusters are on many ships. They would just spin, or require insanely complicated thruster controls constantly adjusting based on mass and speed.

Yeah asymmetry is actually very cool but it has to make sense. And in eve it flat out doesn't. Ships are not asymmetrical, they are lopsided. And that's why I try to stick to symmetrical ones.

Ah, yes a lot of Galliente ships as expected. On the one hand we have the unique, neat looking ships like the Megathron. On the other hand we have the shapeless ugly masses like the Imicus and Celestis. I still love the giant nose on the front of the Galliente transports though, goofy looking as they are. Kinda looks like Wario built a starship lol. I have no idea why the Armageddon is on this list though, I thought it was a reasonably nice looking ship.

I absolutly love most of those and plan on getting them some day. I especially love The Catalyst and Iteron mkv. The Catalyst and it's swift and flat shape and the asymmetry make it kind of Eve's Millenium Falcon . The Iteron is a space train and I love that. It reminds me of space trucks from Cowboy Bebop. Personally I dislike Caldari ships because I think they're boring.

The Rupture (and its variants) is, to me, a giant nailgun. Back in the day its rear view resembled the windows found on old galleons. For sheer beauty, I'd always go for the Blood Raider Ashimmu.

Gallente might have some ugly ships, sure, but they have one of the best looking ships in the game with the Brutix. Looks like an absolute beast. That's the kind of ship you'd use if you just encountered a planet with aliens on it and you wanted to scare them into joining your federation or be wiped out...

The Ragnarok is extremely thin compared to all other Titans. It looks funny when you sit in a Titan and see a Ragnarok next to you. BTW if you want you can do some stuff with my Titan as we are both blue to each other that should be fine :)

In general I find most Eve ships to be really overdesigned... They often don't need as much *stuff* on them as they have. Also, some of them seem to be inspired by ships from Homeworld. And honestly, I think they should learn a few things from it...

Homeworld was Sierra's Swan Song, and a beauty at that. Considering Homeworld came out in 1999, and Eve went live in 2003, I have little doubt that they were inspired by Homeworld's game design and æsthetics. RIP Sierra.

gallente ships have smooth textures and are centered around bulging pill shaped things.....minmatar colors are bland but i like them.....caldari ships are cool but often dont look like they can fly well and amarr ships are too flashy

Being in a vacuum doesn’t mean the laws of physics don’t apply. Asymmetrical thruster placement would make a ship difficult and inefficient to fly at best, impossible to fly at worst.

Great videos - beautiful storytelling ... BUUUUT: The Breach and the Suc ??? ... ugly??? They are my favs. The elegance of the Breacher and it´s supposed fragility is phantastic. And the Suc? It has the primal force of some ancient relic. Man, it even looks like a trilobite, who have been on earth for over half a bil. years. That´s what I call epic. It looks like it can creep up to you and you don´t see it, untill you feel the sting - that´s also where the name comes from (the creeping up to, that is. Unfortunately the "stings" suggest, that it is male, when the real "su((ubus" is a female demon, $educing men ... no, don´t go there, stop it, nooo ... there´s no "k" in suc ... ahhh, so childish. Well, on with the smarta $sing (= my kinda real world pve&p): Its male version is called an "incubus" - well, CCP can´t get everything right, can they - ha! as if). Imo the Vexor is the worst - looks like a water pistol for children - but not a good one - more like the shitty ones, where the bldy trigger always broke. However. Keep up the good work! Cheers
